Sorry I missed the answer to my question, hanging on a telephone line (call centre :( )

assuming it was about killing animals, my views on this are well known, to Eldrick as much as everyone on here.

Well adults, assuming that is what we are, may disagree with other's actions - entirely natural in everyday life.

However, the majority of us will tell said person that we dislike what they do and generally try to get along without slinging the same old shite about at every opportunity to score points. This assumes that the actions are not illegal or immoral!

FGS you make it sound like he takes a pop at everything in a bloody zoo.

You may want to check your facts first!

BTW Zebra probably tastes the same as horse meat which I quite like!

Joy, living in Germany in the 70s an awful lot of horse meat was presented as 'meat of undetermined origin'...lol same in Austria.

Quite honestly the only food I won't eat is veal raised in Europe! Everything is 'fair game' *sorry about the pun*

tuts at Sue :)

but still, I have said this before and I say it again ( lol) it is blatant hypocrisy to say eating one kind of animal ( bought in neat packages from the supermarket) is any better than shooting and eating from the wild... at least the latter is more 'honest' and there is a better chance the animal will have had a decent life up to that point.

Mindyou I think if you are going to eat animals, there shouldn't really be a bar on eating 'long-pig' either , providing it has a natural death whats the difference?

lol waits for that comment to be deleted :)

*slaps Rose for 'joke'*

You know we had a farm so have raised, killed and eaten most UK produced meat, including fluffy bunnies!!! Murdered hundreds of turkeys in December for the squeamish, the children were taken to the private slaughterer aged from 6 upwards to witness the process.

If you are going to eat it, be prepared to kill it!!

Actually, I've converted and now have a diet consisting solely of noodles. As least it keeps a few hard working folk in employment :-)

Well, it's been a hard morning making sure all the bunnies are well and not hungry - I've planted some early lettuce out for them, bless. Had a nice conversation with some silver birch earlier on - but they wouldn't tell me what the grass had been whispering, probably because they didn't need to know. (google it). Anyway, I gave them a nice hug and popped home for a cup of chamomile tea.

I agree with Sue, if you're going to eat it you should be prepared to kill it.... I have lost count of the number of meat eaters who have said to me " of course if i had to watch it happen I wouldn't be able to eat it'

I would of course prefer everyone to be veggie, but it isn't going to happen...so the quickest, cleanest death after the best quality of life possible is the best to hope and lobby for ( for me as well lol)
