My oh my where are you all
I hope your not too far to call
come on in we'll have a ball
I have plenty of drink for all

Sorry I have not been around of late
I been busy as a editor for a news letter
Along with everything else that’s great
It might make someone feel a bit better

Walk a mile
Give a smile
Add a line
You'll be fine

Hello all ! and how are you ?
no aches & pains or coughs or flu ?
I hope this little taste of Spring
has lifted you all & made you sing !
the garden is full of yellows & blues,
the birds are flying around in twos !!
I put up a bird box on our shed
now the blue-tits nesting is going ahead !
I`ve not been on for a while I know,
but back & forth to the hospital we did go,
OH had problems which did not show......
but in the toilet he could not "go"
scanning & tests showed an unwelcome mass
which has now been removed , tumours, 2nd class,
he`s been a while getting back on form
now 3 monthly check-ups will be the norm.
while he isn`t as good as he used to be,
he keeps improving so we`ll wait & see !

Hope the sun shines on you all,
Tina x

the months have gone and I dont know where
so Im here to say Im alive!
we survived the floods and the yucky mud
but we had to spend more than a five.

My grandson is with me when his mum is at work
Now the season has changed and its cool
Early mornings are gone in a rush
getting the bus to school.

Other son has passed all the tests
the navy he will join.
he is running and lifting , getting strong
for the day when his name is called.

I see you all have thought me a gone-er.
but my subs had expired in Jan..
I couldnt renew until I sorted the budget
and in the meantime GR changed the plan.

So it couldnt be better
than a standard now
for all I have to do

I found a friend who is a far relative
and I must stay in touch with them

Hoping you all are getting to spring
thawing out from the deep winter snow
I wish you all well with happy days
to keep yourselves all a glow

Because I hadn't been
Logging in to
View the rhyming scene.
But here I am
And where are you?
Are you well?
Please come back
Please do tell!
Moonbi, Tina,
Maggie and Ron.
Wherever have you
All gone?

Australia Day, what fun.
I wish I could have been
With you, soaking up the sun!!

Whatever the age
My mother in law always says
she is twenty one and a bit.

Australia Day tomorrow
The nations holiday
flags are flown in every street
as families come out to play.

Cricket game in the park
Lamb chops on the grill
free swimming in the pool.
Street parade of marching bands
give everyone a thrill

The festival starts at seven am,
with speeches by the Mayor
then breakfast in the park for all
New Aussies make their pledge.

The flags are flown
the anthem's sung
local heroes given awards
A happy day full of fun.

Birthday time for our dear friend
many happy days for you again
Maggie, would you take this gift and card
and make it spin out more than a yard

Inside you will find a note of cheer
from your friends on Gr here
wishing you well and all that you need
to make life flow with charm and ease

Happy Birthday to you!

**chrispy** Report 20 Jan 2011 22:41

Oh Maggie, where have you gone,
We could have a party,
Send for Ron!
You know he would bring
Wine and beer.
A bottle of champers
And we'd all cheer.
Party Poppers,
And a birthday cake
What a lot of noise we will make.
I'll wear my chiffon evening gown
How we'll really go to town.
So on Friday I will say
Maggie, have a really great birthday!!

Oh dear, where has everyone gone,
Not even a sign of Maggie or Ron.
Moonbi missing since last Saturday,
And Tina, are you on holiday?

Well, I miss everyone.
Hope you are all having fun.
Maybe dreaming of warmer climes.
Please come back and add some rhymes!

I would love to visit Venice
Drink coffee in St Mark's Square.
If I flew over there
Would you meet me there?

Sometimes when I watch TV,
I see a place I'd like to be.
Sunflower filled fields in Italy
Or roadside cafes in gay Paree!
Or the Seychelles with a torquoise sea,
White sandy beaches where I'd like to be.
Or Alaska where glaciers glisten icily.
Is there somewhere you would like to be?

Poor Tina, My mum has alzheimers too
I know how hard it was for you.

Oh dear I seem to be full of sorrow
I'm aiming to buck up from tomorrow!
Do you remember those trips we made
How soon the memories begin to fade.

Dressing up in all our best
Dancing, singing, no time to rest.
Dorothy, Nolls and Maggie too.
You do remember
Don't you?

Chrispy, love, that is so sad,
I`m sorry for your poorly Dad,
I found my mum on the floor one day,
she hadn`t fallen, just her legs gave way,
it was the Alzheimers to blame that day.....
she forgot how to walk & her legs gave way,
she couldn`t get up from on the floor
because if she did ,she`d go down once more.
I know what you mean about the rhymes,
but we need to get it out sometimes,
you know that there are folks who care....
well, heres the place, write it down there !!
thinking of you ,
love Tina x

How lovely Moonbi, you've found someone
I hope you'll meet and have lots of fun.
Hope your phone call goes really well,
Please come back on here and tell.

I'm afraid my news is somewhat sad
And again concerns my dad.
I found him lying on the floor
And he is in hospital once more.

Maybe not something to rhyme about
I just needed to let it out.
Dad always loves a rhyme or two
He wouldn't mind me telling you.

Thank the Lord your're all so well
Over the swine flu I can tell.

Crispy's father not confined to bed
A birthday party is planned instead.

A lottery win would be great to see
Yet there is no ticket in the box for me.

I see Cyper pictures on my screen
I likes before I have never seen.

My cousin is to ring today
I found him via the GR way.

The family moved when his father died
They wanted to contact but never tried.

He sent us a photo of his family
After all the years I see him in me!

About the gifts you supplied,
You are such a kind person,

Christina Report 8 Jan 2011 17:05

Happy New Year one and all !
I wish you the best of health,
(& those of us in the Lottery
I wish us all some wealth !!)

Chrispy ! glad you survived the trip,
mine would have been 225 miles.
and if I had got snow bound as you did
there wouldn`t have been many smiles !

my family there mainly recovered.....
they ALL had Swine Flu you know.
its a good two weeks to get over it
& the nasty symptoms go.

I sent all their presents down by post,
& the parcels arrived on Christmas Eve.
a family poorly , unable to shop
saw a sight they couldn`t beleive !

I`d sent their presents, gaily wrapped,
included carckers ,poppers & such,
another box I sent held loads of food......
that cheered them up very much !

now we are in another year,
the last one went so fast,
my great grand children are such a joy
I just want their innocence to last !

Christmas was made...
(at least, for me )
when that three year old girl
saw my brightly lit tree !

& when she stood & gazed
at the candle-lit crib sight,
with eyes wide & shining
it made my Christmas night !
Bless them !

My love to you all. take care,
Tina xx
