OK...let's put it another way.

Supposing GR organised an official Meet in all it's glory of...etc etc lol ( yeah right)!

Would people not go because other people were going that they didn't get on with......Would/should GR discriminate ( Lol even more ).

Nay I say........we should not discriminate against others who we may not get on with but others might do.....if one knows what I mean. ( no slagging off from the 'predictable' quarters if yer don't mind.

OMG - just remembered why Lynda and I had a 'falling out'! LOL
It was on the old chatboard, and someone said something, (not exactly PC) not realising it was available for all to see!
Lynda took umbrage, I defended etc.
I went to a few meets many moons ago, where this gentleman (and he was a gentleman) turned up, and, I believe Daff, Maz and Teresa were there.
My problem at meets is, I see the person, not the online name - and forget!!
I'd love to meet Lynda - have no probs with online 'falling outs'.

Personally I'd find it very interesting, if someone had put me 'down' online to meet them eye to eye - and I'm not referring to Lynda!! LOL

You are not butting in Crunchy :-)

I am sure this lot will welcome you if you want to go to the Peterborough meet.....Isn't that right you lot?

Sheesh....how do you all manage to put in 4-5 posts when I am still writing?

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 13 Feb 2010 23:28

Crunchy, we know your name on the boards well enough. Course you'd be welcome to come along.

And like I said earlier, we've all met each other for the very first time at one time or another. At the first Peterborough meet, I went on my own to meet people I had never seen before, I didn' t know anyone face to face, and I was nervous, but when I saw the gang outside the station, I recognised a couple of faces from photos, and it was as if I'd always known them once I got there.

Crunchy Nutter - have just sent a message to Muffy about you and the meet :-)

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 13 Feb 2010 23:26

I honestly don't think anyone has said the meets shouldn't be open....

But, when there is a meet thread, it's a bit difficult, if we have met some before, not to be enthusiastic about it on the thread. How do you avoid it?
