Peterborough is the most local to me...but I will travel to London too.

Surely the best place to meet would be on 'neutral' ground - ie a pub.
Then, as women, we can have the frissance of walking into a pub alone and being sidled up to by strange people muttering 'Are you from GR?' PMSL

Naturally, if it was a GR organised meet, then as Hayley said, none of us would have a right to say who goes and who doesn't, and all the other meets are pretty much the same really, all open.

If someone I don't get along with goes to a meet I'm going to, it wouldn't put me off, and vice versa I hope. It wouldn't make any difference to me either way.

But if it was a smaller meet, then it really couldn't be as open, especially if it's round someone's house, it's not fair. I would then expect people to understand that not everyone can be invited, and not to take it as a personal slight against them.

Uggers - yes, it was Theresa (with an 'h' from Cork)
The 'bloke' has since died - he was a lovely fellow,
Have we met?
Teresa - sorry it was the 'h' that confused me! LOL

I have a problem linking 'real' life with 'cyberspace', don't hold grudges and like looking at the sky.

In answer to Susan NO, if there was an organised meet in them terms then no one has the right to say who can or cant go, its a public meet, however if I was having one of my candlelite super little dinner partys and I invited my friends and some one took the huff because they wasnt invited TOUGH....

LOL - like I said Daff - I meet people at meets and don't associate them with their board names - It may not have been you - I'm not a stalker - honest!!
I met a few people at Winchester, Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight and Swindon - eons ago - where you at any of those?

MrDaff Report 13 Feb 2010 23:46

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 13 Feb 2010 23:44

Well let's be honest I ain't gonna be difficult to spot! :-)))

I don't care if anyone takes my pic as long as they photoshop out all the spare chins, and make my nose a nice shape, decrease the size of my tum and bum and blot out all the spots and witchy poo hairs...lmao

Susan with numbers

IF it was an open meet where people were fully jenned up on the fact that some who were less..........erm......or more erm.......yeah whatever were going to go then they'd know what to expect and decide whether to go accordingly.

Sod it.

I'm not sure that makes sense.......i'm actually sober but really tired but i hope you get my drift lol xx

Maggie, I remember that! lol It was years ago, near the beginning wasn't it. I can't even remember who the bloke was now. I didn't know anyone but I can remember commenting on it. The Theresa you met would be Theresa in Cork:))

Not sure if we have a protocol re. photos. We're there, and we like to take them. all part of the day.

Aw tbh Flower I've gone past caring

as long as people STATE where they've seen my pic so i don't imagine they've been stalking me away from the boards i'm pretty cool about it all these days.

BUT dunno what everyone elses point of view is on it x
