Sally was invited back to do one stint to celebrate 25 years of H&A. The storyline was to make people aware of the illness. However, I think it went over the heads of many young viewers, who are only interested in who is hooking up with who.

She and Pippa have gone from our screens now - to the US, to hopefully have the treatment which might make all the difference to her. Don't know if we will hear later how she gets on there.

No. Bea Miles was a colourful Sydney character who lived on the streets, even though she wasn't poor. My old memory mixed her name up with Bea Smith, the one in CBH.

I do remember Bea Miles. I suppose that's how the name came easily to me. She used to annoy everybody. Would wait at a set of lights for taxis to stop on Red, then walk out and get into the taxi - and refuse to pay her fare. The drivers used to look out for her and put their foot down when they saw her coming!

Yes, poor old Casey again. And Maddie still trying to lose her virginity without success. This latest 'newbie' might help her. In the meantime, we get into another 'cult' situation - again with a lot of newbies.

Sally and Pippa have gone and Dex, April, and Indi won't be far behind. The Braxtons will be around for a while yet, but they, too, will be gone not far into next year, from what I can understand.

Hi everyone, it has been a while. Computer problems and health has kept me away. I do hope you are all well. Yes Sally is gone, I'd had enough of her to be honest. Pippa was a cute little girl who played her part well. I did read that Heath was rushed to hospital in real life to have his appendix removed, a 4 hour operation so he must have been in a bad way.

I do love Wentworth too, sorry to correct you Berona. It is Bea Smith that reigns in the gaol, Bea Miles was a Sydney character who used to swim out to Wedding Cake Island off Coogee Beach. She once caught a taxi from Sydney to Perth (lucky driver). My father knew her, she lived like a bag lady, but came from a wealthy family.

My goodness Casey is never out of the wars. Will he pull through this latest drama. I must say Brax recovered quickly from his wounds. Lots of new characters coming through, it is doing my head in. :-S :-S

Sally's stint finished here this week as she supposedly left for USA to get treatment for Pippa.
She was invited to do a 'stint' to celebrate 25 years of H&A and, as September is awareness month for children living with cancer, the storyline is about that. However, judging by the Facebook entries by young viewers, I doubt that it held any interest for them. They are too interested in who is sleeping with who and who would make a good match with who. Different breed of viewers these days!

I read a small item which said that the original actors were not invited for the new Wentworth. The lady who was Bea Miles, is retired but still looks the same and she said she would 'like to have had a crack at it'. We saw the governor (Vinegar titts) as Celia (Alf's sister) when she arrived for Roo's wedding in Home and Away. I have only seen The Freak (Maggie Fitzgibbon) when she appeared in a very early episode of H & A. I have seen her on stage. She is still acting.

I understan that the actors in Prisoner (Cell Block H) got nothing out of that show after it finished. However, Bea Miles (I forget her real name) said she always reads the fine print and had her contract changed before the series started - and is now stll receiving royalties, whenever it is shown anywhere in the world. Smart cookie!

Wentwoth is a remake of Cell block H.Just started last week here.I remember a few of the names.B smith,Lizzi etc etc.Even Doreen is there.She is now in neighbours...a good few years older of course.
They dont look like the old ones so I have to think twice as to who they were etc.

Hello Berona .noted 9th sept . dont go on face book .just plod along on here x had a couple from oz in the holiday let i look after , John & Roz Rodgers there son played Cricket in the test match over here Chris Rodgers ..they were having a few days in scotland .having a short break, as they followed him to test matches in england. very nice couple he was very chatty. talked a lot to oh .as he is a cricket fan, there son was born in St Goerge Sidney . Good to hear from you Barbara. I tried to follow Neighbours by recording their weekly 5 episodes 'catchup' but I didn't seem to have the time to look at them, so I deleted them. I had recorded 6 weeks of them. Might get around to it again soon.

I still look at the H&A facebook page and I'm surprised at the amount of people from the UK who keep asking US when THEIR show is starting up again?.. There is a facebook page named "Home and Away UK" - but they by-pass that to come onto the Australian page and we are getting dozens of them daily, asking the same question - even though it is mentioned on the UK page. I like to help - but I am getting tired of writing 9th Sept. . I can't help wondering what they would think if WE asked THEM the same question when our break comes around in Dec/Jan.?
I don't mind helping - but it does make you wonder!!

We finally got Bianca and Heath married this week. After wearing three white wedding dresses, (Vittorio, Liam, Heath), she finished up in a red one - and that's something else we are getting on the facebook page - "Where can I buy it?". Well, I won't be buying it - someone found out where to get it - at $945. I would want a lot more than one dress for that!

Well, Bianca has done it again. Another wedding spoiled when Heath's conscience (?) got the better of him and he tried to confess to her just as they were about to take their vows. So she decked him! I think I would have shot him!

We saw young Jett singing to his girl friend tonight. Quite nice - but I doubt if he will ever be a noted singer.

Hi Marion, . I hadn't heard of Wentworth, so I went searching and found that it has been on cable t.v. but not on our free-to-air channels. I'm surprised it wasn't on the ABC (national channel) and also, I understand that some of the old actors from Prisoner (or Cell Block H) wanted to be in it. Wentworth was the name they gave the prison in the series. It does seem to be based on the original series, as I noticed that the lesbian girl (Frankie Doyle) who was in the old one originally, was also depicted in this one. I'll have to delve a bit more and see what's going on.

You have to wait until 9th September. That will put you about two and a half months behind us - but when we have our break in Dec/Jan, you will catch uagain and only be less than a month behind. It seems to be an international rule that the country of origin must be ahead of other countries.
I'm amazed at the amount of people in other countries, who log into illegal sites to watch episodes which are showing in Australia. I tried to look at one of the sites, and my computer security blocked it with a warning that it had 'malicious content'. I have told the youngsters on the chat thread, but they don't care - they just HAVE to know what's happening in the future! .. Impatient youngsters.

We are on a break from H&A just now.Last I saw was Heath seemed to be getting Darcy back or at least see more of her.Casey was broken hearted at Tamara not loving him.

We are to get a Drama based on the remake of Cell Block H.I used to like that even though you could see the walls of the set move sometimes lol.
I must look and see when it starts.

The actors all work by contract and they usually have something else lined up before the contract runs out. To renew it, they might miss out on something good. Everyone is trying to work out how Sally's daughter is in high school - and on the chat thread, we have all kinds of suggestions on how old she is. Sally apparently home-schooled her and I think they are passing her off as about 12, but the viewers (the experts) say she is only about 10 because she was 'about 5' when they went away and they have been gone for five years. They forget that it's a fictitious story and that the actress Kate Ritchie, was away from the show for five years - not "Sally".
