As much as I would never wish anyone to be ill I'm afraid I have no sympathy for anyone who has had strokes, cancer or heart problems and continues to smoke against the advice of doctors. It is irresponsible and suicidal. You can say it's your life but what about your family - are they not deserving of more consideration? If you continue to smoke you increase your chances of a massive stroke that will leave you incapacitated or dead. Make your choice - because you do have one.

Keith, could you not cut back at least on the fags? There is so much help these days to give up, and your doctor should be able to help, meanwhile stop and think about all the people who want you to give up and put the next fag back in the pack for an hour, then think again at that time and so on. Or don't have the first one till after a certain time of day and move that forward every couple of days till you aren't having one in the mornings, and so on. I know you are stressed so it's difficult but you will be more stressed if you end up like my o.h.'s friend, incapable of looking after himself through several strokes, and finally died aged 60. No dignity left when you have to have help to use the loo, dress yourself, feed yourself etc etc and you can't drive about at will or even walk down the street.

Hello Fag Ash,,,I'm here nagging as well..get off! go and rest....

i had a brain hemorrhage last year And ive just had a mini stroke

He has had another mini stroke..and has been in hospital.
The ear thing is something else..Waiting for ENT appointment.

I am confused here, Has Keith had a stroke or got an ear infection?, my Mum has had 2 mild strokes and was in hopital for about week , I have had mastoiditist and it was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life I was in hospital for well over a week with it wasnt nice at all....

Keith, I sent you a pm about the ciggies a while back, thought you had given up! You are treading a dangerous path if you continue the smoking, give it up!!

Good luck, I know it will be hard but don't you want to stick around for your family's sake?
