Hallo all,
Well the hospital thinks they have found out why I keep falling asleep. You know I can be sitting talking to you one minute and fast asleep another. Yes, we can laugh about it, but it is a real nuisance.
Apparently when I sleep at night I don't breathe properly and I am not getting enough oxygen. The ent specialist together with the lung doctor told me this and I now have to go to bed at night with a mask on - yes, a real sleeping beauty! I haven't got the mask yet.
I have been making quite a few cards for my neighbour. She told me she wanted one for a woman who has done a lot for the Red Cross and I was told to put on the card that she was a knight for the Red Cross. Now I have to do the same for a man. I have also made 10 or so funny ones for her.
I have now trained my help well enough that she allows me more time for myself.
Weather now warmer and snow gone - we hope!

Afternoon Ladies, hope you are all keeping well xxx

We've had lots of snow, but it's all gone now, as much as I love it, snow belongs to Winter & Spring is nearly here, so hope the weather gets better. The garden is in need of some attention........ Easter cards Ann, I don't make many, was looking through blogs the other day and spotted an absolute gorgeous design, all vintagey, olde worlde, my kind of thing, but will probably only make a few for my nieces with the stamps I've got :-)

Right off to to a bit of surfing, then put the dinner on for later.... Bye for now xx

Ann the number grew yesterday to 4, two 2 yr olds the 6 and 7, Grandchildren all delivered safely back to their respective parents so having a lazy day today, really need it as I have had a hectic few days.

Sylvia, as you say need to look at the funny side of these things, pity though that it didn't work and that it was so painful, sounds like you need some of the local anesthetic gel.

Woke up again this morning to even more snow!!!!!!!! Just checked the weather forecast and seems like it will be snow on and off all week. Just been out to feed the birds and the rabbits, seem to have lots of little ones at the moment in the garden and I did notice that one of the large ones collecting nesting material last week, so looks like more on the way. Good job OH doesn't mind them eating bits in the garden, although they don't seem to bother with the flower beds only the hedgerow.

Washing machine decided to stop working and is terminal so just ordered a new one on line and it will be delivered on Tuesday, just need the new tumble dryer now.......

Hope the snow is not too bad where you and that you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hallo all,
I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out of the window this morning. Yes, somebody had been throwing snow all over the grass, roads and pavements. Just when I thought it had all finished!
We have had snow now since mid-December. I hope that it will be finished before Easter?
Please send my best wishes to the sick members and wish them a speedy recovery.
Johan and I tried out the catheter yesterday evening and it was a disaster. We had to give it up as it was so painful. If it wasn't so painful I could have laughed. I am sure that Johan won't make a doctor, anyway at 84 he is only trying his best for me.

Jo, I bet you will be exhausted after having three of them!!

I haven't done much craft work today, we were out all morning shopping at Dunelm, just discovered their craft corner so bought several bits this morning. Just made one card today, that makes 7 for the CRUK shop next week. Took them 6 the week before last.

Hello Heather lovely to see you back able to post again and as you say, lots of snow!!!
Was staying at daughters in Northampton for a few days and drove home yesterday with her 2 youngest as they are staying with me now for a couple of days along with other daughters 6 yr old. The drive home was a complete nightmare. It had been snowing there for a few hours and it took me 31/2 hours to get home (a journey that normally takes 45mins to an hour) and we were driving on the A14 and M1 so both major routes I cannot understand what had brought the traffic to a complete standstill, I know the snow was very bad but we didn't move for an hour and then it was just stop and go and we crawled the rest of the way home, both boys got fed up and fell asleep for some of the journey. I think if I had heard 'are we going to move faster' one more time......
Off now to play hide and seek with them
Have a good day all of you

Morning Ladies, hope you are all well.

Ann, please tho hear that your heating has now been repaired and you are lovely and warm.

Sylvia hope everything goes well tomorrow at the hospital will be thinking of you and really hope this time they can sort you out.

Now for the news!!

Yesterday I received a phone call from Barbara in Cornwall. She has been in hospital following a second knee operation where she managed to catch a bug, which kept her in hospital longer than anticipated. She is now at home on crutches, but is still not feeling well at all, with so much pain and discomfort in her knee, this one is so much worse than the last op she had on her other knee. I am sure we all wish her a speedy recovery.

I have also received a phone call this morning from Lizz, she unfortunately has had a bad fall and is in hospital at the moment with a broken bone in her back. She is waiting for a scan on her back for the doctors to decide whether they will need to operate or just put her in plaster!! Again I am sure we all wish Lizz a speedy recovery and I will let you know as soon as I have more information.

Heating has been fixed JO.
Sylvia, usually for Valentines day OH has brought on a pot of little daffodils but this year they are way behind. I suppose what it really is, is that the past few years everything has been very early because it was so mild. This year it is all back to normal but to us it seems late.

Hope you get on Ok at the hospital.

Hallo everybody,
Could really say hallo girls, as I don't suppose there are any 'boys' looking in, or if they are they daren't acknowledge the fact!!
I had a brother in law here who did excellent cross stitching work, but I couldn't see Johan doing that sort of thing - too technical, likes pulling machines to bits etc.
I have been able to make a few cards these last few days. My help in the house is coming along fine and is becoming quite useful. I think it is easier to train somebody who knows nothing than a knowall who won't do things your way.
We still have snow on the ground and the sun isn't strong enough yet to melt it.
Every year I have our balcony looking Springlike in March for Johan's birthday, but if the weather doesn't change soon then I won't be able to do it this year. I am going to buy some daffodills and other bulbs at the end of the week.
Well tomorrow is my big day when I hear what they are going to do to me at the hospital. I am not afraid, just pleased they are going to do something.
greetings Sylvia xxx

Sorry to hear that your heating is not working Ann, you must be so cold, hope you get it sorted soon, nothing worse than being cold, although I am always cold.

Just finished making my ATC's and three birthday cards, so quite pleased with my self. Still have the baby cards to finish though was hoping to go and get the bits I needed but have not had chance and now the children are off school next week, I've got them all here for 2 days and I am going to stay at daughters for 2 days, so not much chance next week.

Been snowing this afternoon, then it rained now the sun is shining wonder what it will do next!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Nope, heating not sorted, it actually decided to flick back on this afternoon for two hours, then decided to flick off again so resorted to blankets this evening.

Well I didn't grow up with central heating!!!

Ann, hope you have your heating sorted, typical when it gets really cold something like that happens.
We woke up to a dusting of snow yesterday but didnt last long.
Classes have gone very well this week and one of the cards made was an easel card plus messed about with alcohol inks and altered some wall tiles. Have put some cards on FB and will try and remember to take photos before I use them :)
Hope everyone has a good weekend planned

xx Jill
