Hi all,
Sorry for not wrting lately but have been feeling so dizzy. It is my apneu and will be pleased when I get my mask to sleep in. They are coming next Tuesday to measure my head for the mask.
This morning I woke a bit later than usual - 8.30 and Johan woke me with a cup of tea waiting in the sitting room by the tv - as usual. I sat in my nightgown and had my painkilling tablet and anti-bacterial tablet. Johan then went for a shower and I fell asleep. He woke me up again at 12.30 noon. I didn't know where I was. I then had my breakfast and the rest of my tablets and then a shower. I then had to go out shopping as tomorrow is our wedding anniversary - 54 years married. Next Monday Johan is 85 years of age. I do hope I will be feeling alright. Johan's youngest sister came last Sunday as she cannot come next Monday.
I had a job to finish two cards for my neighbour. I had to make two moving cards - funny ones. I hate having to work to a deadline, especially now that I don't feel so good every day.
I have so many sewing jobs to be done, some started, and some not.
I managed to turn the two pairs of trousers up for my neighbour. Sometimes I wish I couldn't do anything!
Now must write a letter while I feel ok.

Hello Ladies, sorry not been about much last week as S'Jenna lost her fight against the stroke.
We had both ends of the spectrum as managed to save the life of a new born lamb on Saturday, its still very tiny back back with its mum :)
Been doing a lot of altered art this week with cutting down CDs, they look so pretty covered then stamped and joined with rings to make a hanging decoration
.Have also been making fan cards, these look really pretty on a square card, and panel cards

Morning, well it is a beautiful day here, sun is shining but it is cold and windy, but then I am not planning to go out again this morning! Pegged washing out and it is dry already, makes a lovely change. Although the forecast is not good for the rest of the week.

Had a lovely mothers day all the kids and grandchildren came to me for the day!!!!!! Doing dinner and tea for 14 and 3 dogs was exhausting but I really enjoyed myself. No sign yet of the new baby, like a lot of first babies I think it prefers to stay where it is just wonder how late it will be.

Just cannot get myself organised although I must as I have an order for 25 cards plus all the normal cards to make so need to get going.

Ann, yes I am pleased with the card, but the baby is now overdue and still no sign of it arriving.

Off now to get crafting for the rest of the day........

Jo, how I envy you the expected baby, our 'baby' will be 8 this year!! And is likely to be the last in that generation, will have to wait for great grandchildren now. Are you pleased with the baby cards?

I took five cards in to the CRUK shop this morning. I hope they are selling, the last time I went in they had a large stock of them so there are a lot of card makers in this area. Today, the lady behind the counter said they were still taking them in but she couldn't find the box of them, they were not on the counter. So far I have done 20 for them.

Morning, well we had lovely and sunny weather at the weekend although we are having heavy frosts at night, but love these cold sunny days. Hope the weather is good where you are.

Well I have finally finished my baby cards, I expect now the baby will be late as it is their first, really looking forward to another baby in the family as my next youngest are now two, time really does fly. Off now shopping as I have promised to make lots of food to put in their freezer for when it arrives so they will have plenty of ready meals to just put in the cooker, so will be spending the day tomorrow cooking lots of different things and then labeling and freezing.

Heather, Issy said to do 6 ATC's and she will be putting the next few months themes out very soon.

Have a good day everyone.

Hugs Joxx

Ann sounds like you had a lovely day.

Beautiful day here again, frosty but lovely sun, just how I like it.

Still trying to finish the cards for my expected grandchild, but have finally been and purchased the embellishments to go on them, just need now to assemble them, one pink and one blue just in case.

Well, what a glorious day it has been again. We left home about 10AM and drove via some beautiful Cotswold villages and picturesque country lanes to Batsford near Moreton in the Marsh, about an hour from here, could do it a bit more quickly but we let Gladys our SatNav lady take us her way which is so pretty.

Batsford Arboretum had its spring coat on, it was beautiful, the sun shone on the buttery coloured stone of the old house and the snowdrops sparkled, masses of them mixed with beautiful golden yellow Aconites then there were the occasional stunning Helebore and massed groups of pink and lilac crocuses. . We had a coffee before we walked round and shared a scone. There were not many people there and it is big enough to believe you are the only people there so we had a great time taking lots of photos. (scrap book here I come!!)

Afterwards we drove 30 minutes up the road to Evesgam Country park and garden centre where we had a senior citizens two course lunch £7.95 each for two courses. We had beef, mushroom and ale pie and veg then I had plum crumble and T had apple pie both with custard, lovely and plentiful.

After a quick look round the garden centre and buying a few bits, including a couple of tops reduced in the sale for me, then a look round the farm shop, we drove home, getting home at 4pm. Then even more excitement, they had delivered a large blue wheelie bin, so thoughtful, it matches our garage and front doors, and two small food bins one for indoors one to keep outside. Apparently we start using them in April so plenty of time to look at them before we 'go live'.

Well you would think spring has finally arrived!! It is a beautiful day here, frost this morning and now the sun is shining and although cold outside the sun is lovely and warm through the patio window. My crocuses and snowdrops have finally come out, in fact the blossoms are fully open this morning.

In the middle of doing my daughters washing, her machine has now broke so making the most of my new machine as mine broke and I needed a new one last month. Have done quite a bit already and it is dry and ironed waiting to be collected later today.

Hope the weather with you is just as nice.

Evening ladies, what a wonderful day it was today, the sun shone all day and it was not bitter cold and no rain, what a change. Still there is a full moon this evening and the stars are all shining brightly, so probably get a frost this evening.

Just trying to do some more FH research, Makes a change but have got to some dead ends what with illegitimate boys and name changes.....
Still keep plodding on

Sylvia, at least you now have a name for it and there are some really good treatments around and they all seem to work really well, so hopefully you will be back to normal very soon and not falling asleep!!

Yes it is a pity when we lose members of the group, hopefully things will improve for Mary soon and she will rejoin us.

It is so cold and damp here today, the damp makes all my bones ache and taking the dog for a walk this morning it poured with rain, good job I had my hat on, Not a pretty site !!

Have a lovely weekend all of you

Hallo all,
What a pity we have to lose another member, but perhaps we'll have another new one soon.
Jo, I now have the name of my new sickness - Apneu. If you google t his name you can read about it and the reason why I keep falling asleep, very dizzy, loss of memory, etc.etc. There are not many sicknesses I haven't had now, but the doctors tell me I'm so positive.
Have two cards to finish for my neighbour who is in the Red Cross. She wants funny cards but also to thank them for their services and say they are knights for the Red Cross.
Things take me so long these days.
Now have a nice weekend.

Ann, what about cutting the shape of a chocolate egg and use strips of different shades of brown paper folded and do an iris folded card.

Good morning all and hugs to all that are unwell xx
We have had a busy week with three of our sheep having lambs, two sets of twins and a single birth. We are now waiting in Daisy and first time mum Lucy" my hand reared lamb" to have theirs. It is spot on to 5 months since the ram jumped the fence lol
We have been watching from upstairs window all week watching for signs of licking lips and grinding teeth and if one out of sight, running out to check. With all the rain its not good for a lamb to be left outside too long and the fun and games of getting mum and babes to top house is manic!!
Card groups going well and we have been using wet wipes with distress inks a lot this week and stamping with script to make lovely backgrounds, plus been having a play with the brayer and started using Clarity stamps, worth looking out for along with crafty individual stamps
xx Jill

Evening ladies, I hope you are all well.

I am just about to send out an email regarding a member leaving the group.

Sylvia thank goodness that the doctors have sorted out your sleeping problem, nothing worse than suddenly falling to sleep at unexpected moments, could be very dangerous!!

Ann I have no idea what I would put on an Easter card for a teenage boy, I would keep it as simple as possible.

Well it is now raining here so we have local flooding what with that and the melting snow.

Not sure if something has happened in the locality but three police cars have just gone flying past with sirens and lights flashing, too many car accidents on these narrow country lanes.

Well at least they are getting somewhere Sylvia, let's hope the mask solves the problem.

Still got a couple of Easter cards to make, what on earth do you put on an easter card for a 13 year old boy?
