Jane Report 2 Feb 2010 18:06

My heart is still thumping lol.It felt like handing in a piece of work at school.I didn't think about grammar or where or where not to start new paragraphs etc.So there will be plenty of mistakes in it.
I will now pour a nice glass of wine...a large one of course .

Got it Jane, well done, that's the first step done. (We were all nervous the first time we sent anything out)

I'll have a good read of it later and send back my comments.

I have a garden game on facebook, and I have just planted some tulips. They have come up bright orange. I should call the garden Miriam's garden lol

Well, made the first two chapters work much better...off for some lunch, it's not Anna Delaney talking to me, it's my stomach! lol

(Anna's my MC)

Hi all ! I am still here, and also scribbling away trying to compose my poem from your lines Teresa :)
I think I have caught up with everyone now and read everything that was sent.

BC..Does that mean we won't get to hear about Miriams next adventure ?? LOL

Go for it Jane. We are all amateurs but we all have something valid to say, and it is very good practise for when we Write for Publication! Eeeeeekkk! Get on with that novel, TW! Am not sure what to write next, have too many ideas but they are all rather scattered right now. I started a piece about a dying woman....but have left her in the lurch! lol BC¬XX...

TeresaW Report 2 Feb 2010 13:14

Afternoon ladies, I hope the absence of replies on here is because you're all scribbling away...lol

I'm about to go back to the novel I started writing in November. It needs a re-write so it makes more sense, so I am about to start killing some of my darlings. I've only just faced up to it *sigh*, but my main character is nagging me to get on with telling her story now.

I've just started writing Jane.. I always loved writing essays etc. at school and (after such a long time lol ) needed persuading to join the group.
I'm enjoying it, and reading others' work is really good.

I've just come on here after sitting scribbling away while also watching documentry about The British Family.
I must say I found Teresa's 'first lines' a great help to spur me on!

It will be from the Heart ,just not quite sure how .Making notes now.(Yikes)

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 1 Feb 2010 21:37

Jane, just let your imagination flow. If you come to a stop, don't worry. If you like, write the first draft, then send it out, and we can help you if needed.

We can all learn from each other, and that's the idea of the group. Nobody's going to judge you.

Everyone has a different style of writing Jane, don't try to copy anyone elses . just write from your heart and trust us to help you along.. it isn't a competition , it's a learning curve.
