I will add, I didn't write anything yesterday, I was far too distracted by the goings on in chat. *slaps wrist*

I'll start catching up on commentary today...and submit my set piece. I haven't done anything else yet...I've been busy re-writing my novel..and until I think of a decent title I can't even let you have a peek at that *tsk*

I am guilt-ridden but have my "excuses" - work full time, going on hols for a week next Saturday, sitting reading threads on Chat tonight and not doing anything at all useful or constructive ... oh listen to her ...

Don't drop out Ann of Green Gables - you're way ahead of me in the submitting process so you have no excuses!!!! The very idea!

That's a relief, Ann and Teresa, it's not just me then.

I was at Greenwich university today as my son was attending the open day. One of his subjects is English and the lecturer was also talking about a creative writing course!! I felt quite jealous and picked up the leaflet!

not to worry Ann, if it's any consolation, I've got a stack that need commenting on too...I'll get round to it eventually lol

behind with everything I'm afraid - I am a very disorganised person!

Ann of GG, please don't drop out. Just read, and don't worry about replying...enjoy the reading for now, and participate when you're able to.

It's all a bit overwhelming...but there's no hurry at all to comment on anyone's work. We're all getting feedback anyway...

Just don't drop out, do what you can when you can, and if you can't...nobody will mind.

Anne, i am sure others will understand if you don't reply to their work, some of us are busier than others.

Just keep up with each week's assignment when you can... please don't drop out just because you can't keep up

that's good Ann, it will give me some more to read tomorrow night in bed lol .... I'll send tomorrow also as really should get off to bed soon...painting again tomorrow . And then maybe tomorrow evening I can get around to commenting on everything I have received ...I'm way behind.

I wonder if anyone would mind me doing something out of the ordinary? Since this is also about learning from other people's work and comparison maybe...

BC's piece reminded me about something I started some years ago.... and I dug it out . I think the difference between BC's and mine , on a similar subject, highlights the big gap between someone writing in an 'authentic voice' (BC) and someone looking in 'from a distance'.....

I don't think it will be hard to see how much better BCs is than mine lol, and why. Would that be ok ? it has taught me a lesson and might help others?
