Snow Fairies

Snowflakes dancing while they fall
Pretty white fairies, they are so small
Tens of thousands floating down
Each one wearing a white ball gown

They fall and make a carpet of white
With shimmering diamonds glowing bright
How beautiful it is this fall of snow
With fairies dancing to and fro

starts to cyber all the Yorkshire snow down to Cardiff

Ann will be so pleased...lol

ooooer!!!!!! it is coming down thick and fast here in Cardiff - I am so excited - I love it!!!!

my Mum told me that when I was little and saw my first snow I shouted "Come quick Mummy, all white feathers coming down" sweet heh!!!

Lots of shops in town were closing early as the staff live in outlying villages, some of them quite high up, and they were anxious about getting home. If it freezes tonight, the roads are quite wet, so wi.ll be treacherous out

the snow may have stopped her in Cardiff but I have just been out to the bin and although it looks fairly innocent, the surface has frozen - a death trap - ain't going out again!!!

My OH and son are both transport escorts for children with special needs and both had to go out and get children home at lunchtime because of the weather but after a short snow shower this morning its quite nice here in Cardiff

Just as the first lot of snow went here in Glossop we got a load more on 2nd January, with this still thick on the ground it has been snowing constantly since about 8 o clock last night, it is between 9 and 12 inches on pavements, schools closed, only one or two four wheel drives on the road and they are struggling. It is like a victorian town, you cant see the difference between the road and pavement or field and everyone is walking in the road like the old days. Looks just like a victorian postcard. Have been walking round in it working all morning, and in the last half hour it has started harder again. Hasnt been this bad here for about 20 years, children cant believe it. Thats what we get for living near the pennines!!

Started snowing here in Denbighshire North Wales
at about 11oclock this morning ..and it's still comming down .
My daughter works at Abergele hospital and cant get home
cos the roads are blocked until the council can unblock them .

well the snowflakes are smaller now but i think there are twice as many of them...lol

i can't believe the small fountain into my pond is still working..it's a garden gnome standing at the edge of the pond p**ing into it, pond itself is thick frozen apart from that small hole..

Been snowing here in Gloucester since 11.30 this morning.

Been snowing all morning here outside Doncaster, we have about 6 inches. Daughters hospital appointment in Sheffield has been cancelled due to the weather.

Just started again and the sky is black--hope the roads etc are clear by the weekend -my hubby is having a party for me and my family have got to travel!!

Snowing heavily here again

Just started snowing here, and I have an appointmemt this afternoon. OH wants to go to garden centre while I am occupied, to get a pond heater so the birds will be able to continue drinking. and some more bird food. bought an extra loaf of bread so as to have some for them.

fortunately a small fountain is still working in my pond ..the blackbirds have been gathering round the small hole it has made to drink..i am a bit worried one of them might fall into the hole and under the ice...

We have at least 12inches piled high on my bird bath and garden and paths, just trying to get some fresh water out for birds but container just sinking into snow. OH suggested I put my small side table out.

coming down with a vengeance now!!!
