Morning all, just back from the food shop and having a sit down before sorting lunch. :-D.It is lovely and sunny here but still a bit chilly.

Our bank balance has gone down quite a bit lately so we are now watching the wallet very carefully. Thank goodness we managed to buy all the new furniture we needed when we moved in here so that should see us out as should the car.

There purse strings would have to have been tightened before all the issues that we have now, so even more so in the future, as I can't see things getting back to what they were. Prices go up, but never seem to come back down!!

That is the problem isn't it with the cost of living as it is things are so expensive :-|.

My work has now become really boring and very quiet. A complete contrast from the last few years and more so these last few months. I'm just trying to hang on until it suits me financially to call it a day :-(

My job was quite boring too ZZzzz very repetative. :-P. I did lots of volunteer work as the kids grew up so I wasn't completely idle :-D :-D

I retired from being a security officer but I can't call it working it was boooooring, 12 hour shifts doing very little in that time, before that I was an industrial radiographer, sounds good but also boring but not as much.

I'm losing the plot, LG, as I could have sworn that you wrote that you hadn't worked for six years. I think I need putting down :-D :-D

I had my own electronics business YG. I gave that up when I married OH and helped him in his business and stayed home and bought up the kids. :-D :-D :-D. I retired from my proper work in 1983

Don't rub it in, LG :-D :-D :-D :-D Where did you work before you retired? I can't remember you mentioning it in the past, so perhaps my memory is failing!!

Yes I remember that, I was in Australia at Christmas time 2019 and I was close to having to stay there for what turned out to be 2 years, I don't know what it would have entailed if I did.

Covid did stop my Society work but that was about all. We had plenty to deal with about the house as that was when were getting ready to move.

I was for a while when I retired the then covid happened, that put a stop to most things happening :-( :-|

Evening Maz, OH says he is busier now than when he worked :-D :-D. Only because I find him plenty of jobs to do ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
