That was very educational Aunty!! But what you didn't notice was that RMS & I were actually discussing the Canadian flag on the very same date it was inaugurated in 1965!! We are soooooooooooooo clever!!

All that white granular stuff has gone apart from the odd patch. Can hardly believe it was here!! What now!! Pouring rain, but >>>>>>>>>

SUN, SUN AND MORE SUN TOMORROW WITH A HEADY TEMPERATURE OF 7-8DEGS!!

Yep, all the white stuff's gone (well, most of it), it's rained none stop since yesterday but at least it got rid of the snow.

By the way, when I renewed my membership, it was for 12 months, cost just under a tenner.

Right, I'll just get my rather ample posterior back on the throne while nobody's looking. Aunty will still be snoring, LG's tied up with the gchildren and DET, Maz and Pauline have gone AWOL.

it is sooooooo comfy here and I love the new colour scheme!

Aunty thinks she has broken GR.....how are things now?

Been up my tree all afternoon..all serious stuff, not AWOL and have been invited to be the first overseas member of the Guilford Historical Society on NY. For the princely sum of US$5 pa!

Will pop back in advert break to see if Aunty has fixed the site - lol

Why, what's up!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jan 2010 21:46

Don't know, but there is a thread on General about people being kicked off.

Back in 20 (CSI )

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jan 2010 21:47

Oh I am back now, can't keep a good fairy down. But it is playing up still.

There's a thread on general, it wasn't me, thank goodness, others have had the same trouble.

You see I told you there were problems. Now we have an echo of information.

YG

YG Report 16 Jan 2010 21:50

Not affected me, but then I haven't been on!!

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jan 2010 21:51

DET. You watch CSI. OMG. I am going to have to do someting about your TV viewing.

I watched the movie The Ugly Truth last night. Oh I knew there was a dream man somewhere in the universe worthy of my attention. Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YG

YG Report 16 Jan 2010 21:56

Will you share him Aunty?

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jan 2010 22:13

CSI isn't as good as it was. But on a Saturday night there isn't that much worth watching (in my opinion) anyway.

It's the NY version.

YG

YG Report 16 Jan 2010 22:29

Watching Bridget Jones Diary!! A load of twaddle really, but some firemen on!!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jan 2010 22:42

Lol! Glad you've dropped the air/sea rescue idea - there isn't much use for them where you live, is there?

What sort of info do you need for your Tree, RMS? There must be someone who could look up PR if you've got back that far.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jan 2010 22:51

Yes RMS I agree with DET.

Let me see. RMS you start a thread asking for information you have been unable to find.

We will all visit your thread, debate the substance of your questions, turn your thread into chaos, and leave you none the wiser and wishing you had not asked in the first place. No, just joking. Will be very pleased to be of assistance. Just so long as none of your people are Smith, Brown or Hill.

And I chuck Hill in because that is the subject of my latest futile search.

Well it will beat the heck out of Saturday night television unless you have a decent DVD to watch.

Bridget Jones diary. Colin Firth of Mr Darcy fame. Ohhh oooooh I have the video set of Pride and Prejudice. Almost worn it out.

YG

YG Report 16 Jan 2010 23:01

Mmmm, rather wish I was Bridget!!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jan 2010 23:18

Hmmm, Actors. Who do I fancy?

William Petersen who played Gill Grissom in the original CSI
Mark Harmon – Jethro Gibbs in NCIS
Richard Dean Anderson – Col Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neil from Stargate. He used to be MacGyver, but I never watched that.

Our age group, grey, rugged and distinguished! Can't be bothered with 'Pretty boys'!

Hope RMS doesn't have any Blochs - they are an enigma and keep changing their spelling or hid from officials.
