YG Report 28 Aug 2010 21:15

Get your head out from under those cushions LG. I want to put my feet up. You can't hide there lol!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 28 Aug 2010 21:37

Peeks out>>>> has that nasty word gone away now ?? LOL.

YG

YG Report 28 Aug 2010 21:57

It has gone away.

Children back at school next week, so guess what will be appearing in the supermarkets!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 28 Aug 2010 21:59

I don't want to know LOL. A few parents will no doubt be relieved next week has come LOL. I always missed mine when they started back SOB!!!

YG

YG Report 28 Aug 2010 22:03

I won't be relieved. The traffic will be horrendous again! and it's Race Week here the following week. Thank goodness I'm on 4pn finish for the month!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 28 Aug 2010 22:10

True, our traffic is bad here for school drops but I can usually avoid that time. The parents that really annoy me are those in my road (4 mins walk from school gate) insist in taking their kids to school in the car in case poor little darlings get tired !!!. The edge of our village is only about 10 mins walk for goodness sake. No wonder the brats have no stamina

YG

YG Report 28 Aug 2010 22:33

The exercise would do them good.

I could also do with some lol!!!

Well tv is absolute rubbish as usual, so I am off to make my bedtime drink and retire under the covers.

You are lurking tonight so there's no chance of me snoozing in the throne room. Besides which DET might suddenly appear with her assortment of ear shattering appliances!!

Sleep well LG. Will catch you tomorrow x

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 28 Aug 2010 22:34

Nite nite Yg sleep well. Catch you tomorrow.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 28 Aug 2010 22:41

Sorry - I'll try to be quieter tomorrow - mind you, you are usually up well be before me. It's just as well there is no web cam feed with this site lol.

In mitigation of mums on the school run. What is 10 mins walk for an adult, can be 20 mins for a child, and mum has to get home again and possibly drive off in a different direction, particuarly if she has children at different schools, or has to get to work. (voice of experience speaking).

My ex colleagues at the local Academy, have had INSETS from last Thursday. They were not best pleased.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 28 Aug 2010 23:55

DET it is the Mums that I personally know who are to damn lazy to walk that I refer to . Those that go on elsewhere I have no problem with .

Mazfromnorf Report 29 Aug 2010 09:00

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 29 Aug 2010 10:24

As long as he's put them out for re-cycling- lol

Morning all - another day of rubbing down and undercoating beckons. Have you seen the mess that black gloss makes??? It gets everywhere, and I mean everywhere! Yuk, yuk, and double yuk. Just pleased we put our collective feet down when BM wanted black coving when it was originally decorated!

LG's OH has the right idea. I usually check for a tow bar on the back. No tow bar? Posers!

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 29 Aug 2010 15:24

Ah, I've just realized what you're talking about 'Chelsea tractors'. I agree, no tow-bar = poser.

It's a very strange day here, one minute it's blue sky with sunshine, the next minute it's black sky with heavy rain. The wind is so strong it looks like the trees are going to snap. A typical Bank Holiday!

LaGooner Report 29 Aug 2010 17:00

Mazfromnorf

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 29 Aug 2010 18:52

A meet up sounds great although I can't make the Wednesday I am afraid.I have an important commitment to deal with that day.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 29 Aug 2010 23:08

Any day is fine with me. If froggy is going to stay in Hastings, does that mean you don't trust us with him? We'd treat him gently, - honest,- & OH could be drafted in.

Me thinks YG needs to work out if/when she can have time off and we work around that.
