Morning you lot.
Why are you saying there is a free 90 mins FMP today. Does that mean England is playing. I was going to check out a few things and I can never remember when it is supposed to happen.
On to more exciting things. My team won yesterday. Yaaaaaaay. We have now climbed up to third off the bottom of the ladder. It was a very exciting match and absolutely freezing cold.
No I'm afraid the blonde one's house makeover is not a quick tidy up. In my dreams. It is the whole nightmare house makeover. When the mum, dad, daughter, and other sundry helpers demolition team have finished their work and the house is available for viewing on the internet I'll send you the link.
You were chasing frogs at a very young age Maz. Good practice for when you grew up wasn't it?
OH had a phone call from someone in the BDM empire on the other side of the country. Told him they had exhausted all of their avenues of search for his siblings, and they had passed the information on to another agency who had better resources to deal with the search. This, I think, is good news because we never realized anyone was still looking. Fingers crossed again.
Last week of term. Holidays next week. We were going away but I have persuaded OH my time will be better spent helping daughter with house. He reluctantly agrees, so I am a bit happier now.
Freezing cold here this morning. No rain at present but it is forecast for this evening and the rest of the week. Didn't I say that last week.
Do I mention the cricket. Nope. That would be as dumb as the score. What is it with the Australians every time they play over there. Are you sure it is warm enough for cricket matches??!!!

Sounds an Idyllic childhood Maz, although I expect your parents found it tough. We've got a resident frog in my home made plastic tomato house, which loves getting watered. Lol.
You've got about 9hr 24 min left to get onto FMP Aunty, until 0900 BST, so hop to it if you can. Never thought I'd be disappointed that England was knocked out of the WC!
It should be warm enough for the Ozzie cricket team, our nearest official weather recording station registered 30C today..that's about 5 miles away and one of the hottest recorded places in the UK! Bmale says he wouldn't be able to get late afternoon tickets to see them play so is settling for our County playing someone else.
Fingers crossed for OH, and good luck with the renovations!
Glad yesterday went off well, LG. At least you have the week to recover in, still with the warmth. Mind you, we could do with some rain!!!!!

Just heard the news about England joining Australia in the hasbeens box. Commiserations to you. Looks like wearing their red strip did not have the expected result. Oh well now your lives can return to normal.
Nine hours and 24 minutes left. Oh well maybe next year. Do you think FMP will swap the freebie to include Argentina, or are they out as well!!!

Think BM has Argentina in the office sweepstake, so for his sake, lets hope they win - lol.
I'm reliably informed that there is a European Cup or something or other in 2 years time. LG will know all about it as I think its League clubs rather than National teams. We can only hope that FMP do the honours again.
Sheeesh, is that the time? Too much caffeine this evening, obviously! Off to find a boring book in the hope that it will make me sleepy - lol
Night - have a good day.

Interesting. My compatibility view has switched itself off so my screen is bouncing again. And I have just lost my post. Oh well. Starting again.
Let me see. Exciting news. Received an email from HM Revenue and Customs informing me they owed money.
"After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity, we have concluded that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of 988.50 GBP. Please submit the tax refund request and give us 2-3 days in order to process"
I am all a tremble with excitement to think your government is generous enough to choose this aging colonist to receive some of the funds it has collected from you poor citizens.
Never was able to follow instructions so I have not clicked on the "Here" button or submitted their request. Instead I have found the HM Revenue and Customs web site and sent them a copy of the email, together with a request that they send any spare money they might have to my home address, by post. After all if they have my UK tax return they must have my home address.
Good luck with your maths test tonight Maz. Just take it slowly, read the questions, and think calmly. And if that message is too late, then I hope that is what you did.
YG is probably out swapping gardening stories with either (a) the person next door, (b) the person down the street or (c) the local fire brigade. She will no doubt be back soon full of information on the 25 ways to get rid of an unwanted pallett. Never did find out what happened to it, did we!!!

Oooo...wish HMCR would send us a refund lol. I think there was publicity about that scam earlier in the year. Unfortunate that they've decided to send it to Commonwealth residents. A horrible thought has occured. You've bought BMD from GRO/ONS....hope they haven't hacked that system.
I wonder if YG has been spending too long in the garden and given herself heat or sun stroke? Hope not, although it may have been a devious ruse to get the firemen out to spray her down lol.
All outings off. 1st it was a sightseeing trip, then the local major shopping Mall, superceded by PC requesting help in a replacement car hunt. So while they are out, I shall potter off to the charity shops for books to take away on holiday. One week + 1 day to go!

Your thought was the same as mine. Apart from a magazine subscription we pay to the UK all our other purchases have been to the GRO. I think I am just about a part owner of that enterprise.
I am off to bed. Well actually to see if the tennis is still on. And I will probably fall asleep. More renovations tomorrow evening so I need my sleep to keep up my strength, or stupidity.

Let me make sure I have this correctly.
A Nut Lodger passed a maths test??!!!
Now, Maz, you did say "passed the test", not "passed out", didn't you.
Yes, I have that correct. Whoo hoo, well done, we are in the midst of a budding mathematician.
Morning all, freezing cold here, rained all night. The Aussies have been knocked out of the tennis. So that together with the cricket and the soccer losses makes sport a four letter word. Ha sport a four letter word is Spot. And that great furry lump is sitting beside his master's chair waiting for breakfast.
Received a reply from HMRAC. No they are not in the habit of sending colonists spare cash. Please let them know if I have done anything dumb like giving out my credit card or personal details etc etc. Standard reply from a government agency who have occasion to wonder at the intelligence of the population sometimes.
So I have filed that little offer in the big waste paper bin in the sky along with all the other offers of cash I have had.
I'll stick to my lotto tickets. Hoo Roo for now off to work. Catch you later.
