Yewowwwlllllll!!!!!
Well, I did get a bucket full of blood in the form of a nose bleed (not mine) this morning lol. After work, it was down the pub for lunch with the in laws, hairdressers to disguise the grey and now waiting for OH to come up with a meal.

Evening everyone. Hope you are all ok.
Don't worry LG, you'll look fine at the wedding with hairy hands and face. Anyway, everyone will be looking at the bride, so they'll not notice unless you start howling!!

Flipin' 'eck, LG! 0557...does such a time exist? lol A lovely day for the wedding, just make sure you don't all dehydrate. Water, ladies, water! Have a great time.
Aunty must have fallen off the windowsill, or developed cramp as nothing since Thursday. Get better soon. :-)
A BBQ sounds a good idea Maz. We will probably do nothing much, although I have been thinking (note the word 'thinking') about a spot of weeding.

Hi all, it's just started to cloud over here, we had blue sky and sunshine earlier.
Hope you have a lovely day at the wedding LG.
There's something wrong with hubby's lappy, he updated Adobe and the whole thing went off and won't come on again. I'm going to investigate.

You can keep your cloud Pauline lol.
Is that the Adobe Air it keeps wanting me to upload? If so, I'm glad I keep ignoring it! Other people seem to have had problems with it as well. Perhaps there is a 'patch' available?

Good afternoon all, thank you for the 'welcome back' - since the I've been AWOL for another week!
Had 3 Australia connected co-incidences in the space of a few days. The first, a friend of mine who is from Australia whose husband died recently has invited me out for a meal and a natter. The second, had an e-mail from my Dad's cousins' son (I'm a bit rubbish about what sort of cousins we are) he emigrated to Australia years ago, but is coming to England in September and has invited me out to a meal.
The third is as a result of Findmypast beinf free for 90 minutes on days when England play. I found out that lots more Australian newspapers have been digitised.
My uncle told me that there was a story in the family that my gg grandfather went to Australia in search of his fortune, but was never seen again. We have discovered that he sailed to Melbourne in 1862 with his eldest son, then on to Sydney. He died 10 days later (we have a copy of his death cert.)
The newspaper article I found after doing all the 1911 census searches I think I need on Findmypast reveals that my gg grandfather tried to commit suicide 6 days after arriving in Sydney, but was in hospital, doing 'favourably'. He obviously succeeded the second time. My obvious question as to why he would want to do that is likely to remain unanswered.
My good news is (you're probably thinking 'what's she doing disappearing then coming back taking over the thread!)... I've finally got a greenhouse after 4 years (won't bore you with the unsuccessful greenhouse stories)
So now I'll leave you in peace, and as it's clouded over here, I'm going to sit in, or potter about my greenhouse

Good freezing morning to you all. Aunty is still alive and kicking, but very slowly this morning. Worked, no slaved is a better word, at daughters renovator's paradise from about lunch time Friday through to 11.00 pm Friday night and then again from about 10.30 am yesterday morning till about 7 ish last night.
Surprisingly I am not too sore. My hands are a bit rough and my fingernails are painted with an assortment of paint, filler, rust preventative and other assorted colours.
It is 2 degrees here this morning. We have had a few downpours of rain but some sunny breaks. Hopefully the rain will stay away because it is footy day today.
Right now I am cooking up casseroles to freeze for OH when he "gets sick of cooking".
And if you are wondering how much longer with the renovations!!! The way things are going I reckon she should be finished about this time next year. I now know where my perfectionism and obstinance traits have landed in this family.
Don't worry about hairy and howling. Vampires are all the rage out here with the release of the next in the Twilight series.
And CT have you tried the Ryerson Index? And if I can help with any searching please let me know. I have access to lots of info at our library.

Whoo hooo. My thread. Deaded it at last. And here I was feeling guilty about not posting.
Just finished cooking four casseroles, and coping with OH in the kitchen "helping" while I cooked. It seems he has discovered an aversion to the mess I make when I cook. So he was washing up as I messed. Kept whinging about the amount of times he had to wash the same spoon. If he had kept out of the way I would have used several spoons and he could have washed them all when I finished.

Thank you for the offer Aunty :)
I've just logged on to Ancestry and it's littered with dollar signs.
...wonders if it's a sign? It reminded me that I bought a lottery ticket yesterday, the first time in ages. It may be party time! - at Aunty's! I'll fly you all over there with me

Morning all.
Maz, don't forget you can get a free 90 minuted on FMP today, so get all your 1911 census while you can.
Hmm, better unpack my bags then CT, I take it we aren't going to visit Aunty now - bet she'll be pleased.

Good morning everyone..........including CrystalTips. How lucky to have a greenhouse. I'd love one, but there is no where in the garden where it would get much sun :( If/when we eventually move, a South or SW facing rear garden is going to be on the wish list!
I spotted the 'weather warning' in the NE yesterday and wondered if Maz and Pauline were going to get flooded. Glad it wasn't too severe. My water butts are nearly empty, so will be using the hose pipe soon. Just glad we have resisted changing over to a water meter.
Sounds as if the Blonde One's house won't be ready to put on the market just yet then. I was under the impression that it was going to be a quick smarten up, not the full works! At least it will keep you out of mischief during your holidays Aunty, and perhaps stop you from going into work!
