Um, did Australia play a soccer match? And lost? Your country won't be the only one, so don't get too upset. Pity it isn't a knock out type of competition, then it would be over in next to no time.

Wrap up warm, and pray that daughter has efficient heating today.

We must have missed the rain! Not quite warm enough to sit outside for too long, but the towels dried this afternoon. Should have done some weeding, but the lure of 1911 was too great - lol

AuntySherlock Report 14 Jun 2010 10:05

Aunty drags herself to the computer. Fingers still covered in white paint. I will wash it all off later really I will. I hate white paint. I hate the wooden bits around doors. I hate skirting boards. Up the ladder, down the ladder, up the ladder, down the ladder. Thank goodness it was only a couple of steps high. My botty and legs feel like I have climbed Mt Everest.

And we won't talk about the pesky little dog, which escaped every time I left the door open. Spot would never run away. This much loved pretender dog races outside and then sits in the middle of the road just daring you to go fetch it. Then runs away.

Oh well it's OH's turn tomorrow. I've seen what he is going to paint. Poor dear! He will be tired by the time he gets home!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Jun 2010 18:04

Wonder if Aunty will manage to unglue herself from her bed in the morning, or if she was so tired that she decided to forgo the washing off of gloss paint?? lol

We had mystery parcel delivered to OH this morning, a board game. Apart from an invoice, no indication who it was from.

A flurry of emails ensued; upstairs to PC (I know I could have yelled up lol), to BM at work in London, and She who lives abroad who must have got up very early! After a flurry of exchanges, it would appear that it was a Father's Day gift for OH, which SWLA didn't expect to arrive quite so quickly so hadn't got around to letting us know!

Morning, paint spattered (well just a bit) Aunty here in zero, hovering around minus temperatures.

Can't understand why my arms and shoulders aren't more sore. Must be all the fitness!!

Yes I did snooze off last night. Must have been tired.
Hey you lot would feel right at home here this morning, it is freeeezing. I keep saying that don't I. Hopefully it will warm up to around 15 to 18 degrees but it is two jumpers and a coat and a scarf and a wooly hat weather this morning.

Those who 'do not' have a sense of humor need to delete now..

A middle-aged woman seemed sheepish as she visited her gynecologist.

'Come now,' coaxed the doctor, 'you've been seeing me for years. There's nothing you can't tell me.'

'This one's kind of strange....', she said.

'Let me be the judge of that,' The doctor replied.

'Well,' she said, 'yesterday I went to the bathroom in the morning and heard a plink-plink-plink in the toilet and when I looked down, the water was full of five cent pieces.'

'I see.'

'That afternoon I went to the bathroom again and, plink-plink-plink, there were ten cent pieces in the bowl.'

'That night,' she went on, 'I went again. Plink-plink-plink, and there were twenty cent pieces and this morning there were fifty cent pieces!'

'You've got to tell me what's wrong with me!' she implored'. 'I'm scared out of my wits!'

The gynaecologist put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

'There, there, it's nothing to be scared about.'

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Jun 2010 22:10

That's a good one!

At a consultation with the GP, about a ‘female’ issue, the Dr turned away to the sink.

“Are you mumble mumble active?”
“Not really. But when we go on holiday, we do a lot of walking.”

Now why did he have a quizzical look on his face????

Tired, despite having a day off 'work'. At least most of the home paper work is done for the time being. Might go to bed in a minute.

Hope Aunty has warmed up by now. Can't get my head around an 18 degree temp difference in one day.

Logging off - night.

That's so romantic Maz. I do so hope that things are made permanent in the not too distant future.

Hello Elizabeth. You're in a minority here, if you like football! The BBC breakfast news had an item about that infernal buzzing; a sound engineer said that they were unable to filter out the noise. Perhaps FIFA ought to confiscate 3 out of every 4 that the 'fans' try to take into the stadium!
