It's been beautiful here today so the garden beckoned!! Working though,not sitting in it, except at lunchtime when a friend called.

Hope the painting is going well LG! I was going to paint the front of the bungalow, but decided to leave it until August when I'm off on holiday again! Too tired this time round lol!!

I am shattered YG. I have painted the little ones room, it looks so pretty. The slave driver now has me steaming off the lounge wallpaper. Trouble is the room is huge I have been doing it all day and only halfway. Guess where I shall be tomorrow ??? LOL

OLIVER DNA Project

I have been searching for the parents of my gg grandfather William Oliver, born in Scotland, for 21 years and am unable to find any concrete written evidence.

I now believe that the only way I will solve this puzzle is though DNA technology.

I am presently involved in an Oliver DNA project, using my brother’s DNA, to see if this technology can help find my ggg grandfather and beyond.

If you are a MALE with the surname OLIVER would you be willing to join the Oliver DNA Project? The more in it the more likely we are to find our distant ancestors and our connections. My brother’s DNA matches Olivers in Scotland, Ireland, America & Canada.

Good morning all about to try an experiment.


Need to type to a certain point and see if the screen jumps up and down. I am logged into the UK version of GR instead of the Oz one.

I know exactly how you feel about steaming wallpaper LG. We did our whole house about six years ago.
The most exciting bit is when you rip off one layer and find another layer underneath. And the bottom layer has been glued onto the wall. You will have very sore arms and shoulders for the next few days.

It is about 3 degrees here this morning. It will climb up to about 18 but it is now two jumper weather.


And I have just reached the point of my experiment which tell me my theory has failed. It still jumps up and down no matter what version I am using. Drats.

Lol @ Aunty. That is quite a temperature differential. 2 jumpers? Surely one would suffice lol. We've been basking in temps about 23c in my part of the UK, and it will probably go down to about 11c over night.

Did think that LG had been overcome by paint fumes. You can come and have a go at our upstairs loo, which is *still* not done!

morning all LG we were going to do low force as well but we went across to st johns chapel to get some lunch so it was a different route but it is a lovely area i am lucky .today i am going to enjoy my last day off have a few jobs to do .then i can enjoy the weather .just heard its not to last again so shall make the most of it

Up the top. Under Genes Reunited - Family History Records. Then the address bar with the back arrow and then File Edit View Favorites Tools Help

If you have View click on that then go to Toolbars and make sure you have menu and status bar ticked.

I did not have the option when using IE6. It only comes up with IE8. You could try the help menu and put compatibility view into a search and see if it can be found that way.

Like you, I've been wondering what Aunty was on about, talking about **Tools**. Glad it's not just me who can't find them. As we have Firefox, that must be the reason...not that anything has been jumping up and down on the screen anyway!

You deserve the time to recharge your batteries. We've been busy, busy, busy for the last couple of days - the dreaded you know what, and today hired a carpet cleaner and OH's car annual service.

morning all very warm allnight and is still warm now so we are in for a sticky day but we must make the most of it as we are forcast the same temps as OZ aunty have a good diggin' day lol can imagine the laughs .
have plenty planned here to do while the computer is being fixed .I am told eventually it will need re jigging to be really well again but i always get twitchy when any back or electrical item gets opened up just in case it costs money lol .

Morning all, I'll send my Lappy Maz it is slowing down in it's old age LOL. One day I will empty all the rubbish out of it and clean it up. I have been saying that for ages. Won't complain I have had it 4 years now and it works hard for it's keep LOL
