S'Okay Maz I knew exactly what you was on about.

And as for finding FW Hill in the next hour. In your dreams. I have just downloaded every death in Victoria for a Hill between 1924 and 1950 and he ain't there.

Next step will be another visit to the library.

I had an even bigger one bought me for Mother's Day and although I don't think I have added to the contents, everything just falls to the bottom as there are no dividing sections so I'm always fumbling about trying to find what I need!!

I'm off to bed as it's getting late now! Up at 6am for my sins!

Sleep well LG x

Morning - day off for me! The Vistation has been cancelled due to illness (Mother in law). At least the house has been spruced up. Depending how she is, we may go and see them instead. Now, shall we get the garden table and chairs out, or is that tempting fate???????

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 May 2010 09:12

Det How dare you mention table and chairs. It's cloudy here now LOL

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 20 May 2010 09:20

Hi everyone. Leave have fallen off the trees here and it is snowing in Tasmania. We are dooooooooomed. The chill of winter is in the air and I just know it is going to be freezing cold when I go watch my team get beaten on Sunday.

We hear you have reached the tropical high of 20 degrees. That has got to be C and not F. If the catapult is serviceable and the elastic strong I might zoom over when it starts raining, and blowing, and hailing, and sleeting, and freezing.

OH nearly fell off the roof today. I have told him he is too old to be up there, but he always has a thousand reasons why it is necessary. He said it was a bit slippery. And yes he has fallen off once, well off the top of the ladder on his way down from the roof.

Well apart from the disastrous state of the stock market and the fact that my GRO certificates now cost more owing to the fall in our dollar value, I don't have much news. I'm off for a quick lurk to see how many threads I killed last night and then to see if I can remove some of those stupid shaking leaves from my tree. Providing of course I can access Ancestry.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 May 2010 09:27

Hi Aunty, Ancestry is back in full force. I have just been over to see if anything interesting has cropped up in my contacts. It has but have to leave it until later or none of the dreaded H*******k will get done LOL

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 May 2010 09:34

Read and weep - lol

Today:

Cloudy at first, but some sunny decent sunshine is likely to develop later on. Patchy mist and fog will affect the coast at times. Feeling warm inland, but cooler near the coast in an onshore breeze.. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
Tonight:

Patchy cloud will continue overnight but it should remain dry with some clear spells at times. Feeling mild with light winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Friday:

Another warm day with variable cloud. Some patchy mist or fog is likely along the coast at times. Decent sunny intervals are expected to develop later on. Maximum temperature 25 °C.

The 'warm' weather is expected to last until Wednesday in the SE, then revert to seasonal temperatures. **That** will have been Summer!

Hope OH is OK Aunty. You'll have to insist that he
a) Doesn't go up a ladder unless someone is home
b) Uses a safety rope/bungee cord!

With the fall of the GBP linked to the Euro mess, would have thought the exchange rate would have been in the AUD favour. Hey, Ho, what do I know?

LG - just realised we need to cut the grass before the garden furniture can be got out. Perhaps we won't bother - lol

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 20 May 2010 10:30

We just leave our patio furniture out all year round, then put the power washer on it at the beginning of the warm weather. Needs to be done now but I haven't got the time.

It's beautiful here today, really warm and sunny. It's supposed to get hotter by the weekend.

YG Report 20 May 2010 18:46

Hi everyone. it's been a lovely day here and the sun is still blazing. Going to get up to 26degs over the next 3-4 days then a sever decline!!

Looking at the long term forecast, week commencing 31st May (take note Maz, but don't weep cos I'm on holiday too!) it's down to a shattering 4 degs at midday.

I bet the temperatures rise again the week after when we are back at work!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 May 2010 19:36

Mon 31 May is a Bank Holiday - typical! Hope it was a typo on someones part and it should really have read 14 deg C.

It was quite cloudy for most of the day, but warm and humid. Not quite T shirt weather! Now the sun is out, doors are open - luverly. At least it is more pleasant to come home on a sunny mild day than a freezing cold one, YG.
