Any reason not to do the chores - lol! All this talk of Libraries had prodded me into sending an email to our local main one asking about resources. They have temporarily relocated and some stuff has gone into storage.

Don't think Aunty has Monday off...she told me that she didn't realise the time. Well, FH can be sooo addictive when you are on a roll - lol

Tell resident offspring to be a bit more considerate in the future, or else the Heavy Mob with various cyper pets will be paying him a visit!

Morning you lot. No we don't have the famous August Bank Holiday Day in May like the Goodies used to. I completely forgot about the time. Absolutely amazing I was able to stay awake at that time.

Must be all the chocolate in the system.

Maz I will have to give you the computer fix which disables the internet without any apparent reason. You will be able to wave a magic wand when it is your turn to use the machine.

I did go straight to bed after I said I would, truly I did!!!

Aunty we have two bank hols in May and one in August .Germany has loads and when we were there we had weeks in may where the men were hardly at work lol as the army had the english days as well lol .But unlike here we wern't allowed to do anything like wash cars ,hang washing out ,clean windows etc or have loud music on so her maj would have a silencer on lol

Morning all...did Aunty manage not to fall asleep at work? - lol. How odd that the Army didn't allow normal domestic activities on Bhols, although if that was the local custom for the German ones, it's understandable.

2 loads of washing on the line, lets home they get dry. One of the down pipes got blocked yesterday which meant the water butts didn't refill. Bit cross about that!

YG Report 3 May 2010 09:20

Morning everyone.

A bit better day here today. The sun is in and out, but there is still a cold wind. It was bitterly cold yesterday so I got nothing done at all in the garden. Will have to work twice as hard today!!

Hi All, Managed to stay awake today but not having much luck right now. OH has just asked me to wake him up at 4.30 am tomorrow morning, so he can set off on the great fishing adventure. I am thinking I might go to sleep now and play in the morning.

Maz you need to have short sharp talk with offspring. Along the lines of, the next few days will be hectic, this is really important to the whole family, I need your assistance, please do x and y and z. After the festivities are over our lives can return to normal but right now please I need you to help.

Now I am asleep

Well, he *might* wake up in time to do a dump run! Failing that, tell him you really need his help to get rid of the rubbish and 'book' him for next weekend. Depending on what time he finishes work, it's possible he can do it during the week.

Do you truthfully need to clear up the yard? Or is it just one of those things that are getting on your nerves? Perhaps you can bag or pile the rubbish next too/behind the shed and just give the area a sweep up.

We realise that you want to make the property look marvellous, but when it boils down to it, does it really matter? At this rate, you and your nerves are going to be so shattered, you won't be able to enjoy N's big day.

Talking of getting up early Aunty, OH has earned a pat on the back. He managed to get up without relying on Pan and Spoon just after 0900! His has to go to 'work' early tomorrow and I'd been nagging about how difficult it is to cope with excitable 13/14 year olds after only 6 hours sleep lol

Evening all.

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 3 May 2010 20:20

Evening LG. Hi to anyone else who is awake at this lovely hour. Le me see it has just gone 4.30am. I have been awake for about half an hour. Well I don't know if awake is the correct description.

I really understand Maz and the cleaning frenzy, and yes even the yard. You can't have family and rellies and other people visiting if the place is not presentable. You worry about what people think and can't enjoy yourself if things are not neat and tidy. And don't tell me visitors aren't going to have a squizz at the surroundings.

Hmm I think its motivation time for the offspring. Female vapours, let me see, either turn on the tears and throw a screaming tantrum, or maybe a dizzy spell.

Probably won't work but it will be fun chucking a hissy fit.

Oh wow!! That was a very quick walk. Poor Spot. Never mind I'll make it up to him tonight with a longer walk.

OH left and when it was daylight I took Spot for his walk. About five minutes into the walk it was flash rumble rumble crack and when I looked at the sky. Ummmmm yeah, thunderstorm.

There I am out in the parklands no jacket or hat with these big black noisy clouds overhead.

Decisions decisions. I looked at Spot, Spot looked at me and we high tailed it for home. I actually ran. And Spot just managed to keep up with me. It has now started raining with a couple of bright lightning flashes and crashes of thunder. Oh my I would have been very very damp.

HEY We could use that minus the lightening cause that just starts fires and those are BAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD

We are on stage 3 water restrictions and those are usually in August. No watering at all, except with a held hand hose, no washing your car, no filling up your pool (AAHH SHUCKS) and we had the driest winter in 110 YEARS!

OH MY GOODnnes "Memories and More" is only 10 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.bc-girlguides.org/wp-content/uploads/Information-Sheet-1-Pipeline-Sept-09.pdf
I think I am insane for going !!!!!!!!! but it should be fun, except for the 6 hours bus ride down and back trapped with 47 children age range from 5 - 11

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 May 2010 23:33

Sounds as if Aunty will have to 'shooo' her rain clouds in your direction RMS. Stage 3 so early in the year doesn't sound good at all. N California has had lots of rain this winter (for them) so are not expecting water restrictions.
Not sure if 'fun' is the right word for your anticipated sleep over!!!!!!

Even though Spot didn't have much of a walk, sounds as if he had his cardio-vascular exercise lol

Looks as though LG as loved and left - hi if you are still around. And YG must be cream crackered after a day in the garden.
