Haaaas he?? Oooo! Despite her protestations, perhaps it's time to start looking for fascinators!

Right. Off to put clean sheets on the beds in the NL guest rooms. Think we could make a tidy sum from the poor stranded air travellers. Perhaps Sweatpea's and Gizmo's exertions at tunneling have set off both the volcano and Aunty's earthquake. 'Tis all cause and effect, you know!

Had to chuckle at a radio 'news' item. They replayed several news readers attempts to say 'Eyjafjallajoekull'. By the fourth one, they had given up and refered to it as 'The volcano in Iceland'. lol

Morning DET. Well I read about frog a bit back on this thread LOL.

I am going to h****craft today to buy some craft bits so will look into fascinator decorations LOL.

Bit about the volcano made me laugh. I can't spell it let alone say it PMSL

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Apr 2010 10:19

I wouldn't know where to start to pronounce 'Eyjafjallajoekull' either!

As it's nice and sunny, I hope to get in the garden and do a bit of tidying and planting out. Enjoy your shopping expedition LG. Do you think she will go for a red and white colour scheme lol

Hi All. End of a very busy day. Well the day ended when I screamed myself hoarse at the footy and the team got beaten again. Very bad start to the season.

Anyway, why have I gathered you together this evening.

I have been sent this:

http://www.gravestonephotos.com/

Has anyone seen this site before. Copy and paste it. Put your rellies names into the search box and it brings up the graves of all those named rellies. Now it seems to work best for the Yorkshire area and I did notice some Durham graves and a few others. I tried my lot and then put in a few other names we have been looking at over the last few months and there are matches. Whether they are the correct matches is something else.

The rowboat has been caulked and I have new oars. Can't see SweetPea and Gizmo finishing the tunnel before next Christmas. The oceans will be very crowded with everyone rowing on holidays. Wonder if that is why Maz and her frog are going to the coast.

Have a lemon and honey drink - that should sort out your throat, and if prescribed for the footie team, might give them a bit more 'pep' for the next game. If not then, then the judicious application of a hobnailed boot may have the desired effect!

Haven't seen that site before. No one of my main line relatives are in the areas covered in England, not even the ones with OH's common surname.

Findagrave is good for the US if anyone is interested.

Right - off to find the saucepan and spoon. Bye!!!

Where has everyone gone!!

Aaahhh, bet they've been searching the UK for suitably coloured fascinators and are now exhausted!!

Done h****work, shopping and half the garden, the other half will be finished tomorrow, weather permitting!!

Nut Lodge is bursting at the seams with visitors! Even found them in the throne room languishing with their feet up on the throne. There's empty food wrappers and drink cans everywhere. Who let them all in!!!

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 17 Apr 2010 22:09

Morning YG. Think they've all escaped the influx of tourists. The Arsenal Ark Royal is bursting at the seams with travellers stranded by the volcano. One of them had the cheek to ask for a cruise up and down Nut Lodge Creek.

We need to put a housekeeping team together for keeping the Lodge clean while it is over occupied. I wonder how the travellers got into the throne room. Gee, they wouldn't be allowed in Buck Palace throne room, now would they??

Oh well it's good for the Nut Lodge Preservation Fund. We will be able to buy another pink custard vat if the money keeps rolling in like this. Pity it's all virtual money or we could skim some off the top for "expenses" in the real world.

Oh and PS. The volcano is pronounced very softly, like this.

Hey, ya fergot La Yogurt.”

by Americans, at least.

If Her Maj sees those muddy footprints on the velvet cushions she'll be head first into the shed to seek out those missles that are stored in there!! And I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those.

Am off to hide under the duvet now! Need a really good night's sleep!!

Have a good day Aunty!!

It's a bit dull and cold here as well Maz, but looks like it'll get better later. Make the most of your last 2 days off.

Err Aunty, I hope you weren't meaning US when you said 'housekeeping team', I can feel a bad back coming on. I'll put an advert in the local paper for domestic help, there must be someone somewhere who doesn't mind h*******k.

Heavenstomurgatroid. I was not meaning us important people be the housekeeping team. I thought maybe the CPs could earn some pocket money.

I have been cooking all day. What an 'orrible mess. OH is pleased he will just have to thaw frozen offerings for the next week or so.

I hope the ailments are all illusionary and you are all soon fighting fit.

Off to chase up some Hills. Oh I am so tired of this stupid man. I am beginning to think this part of my family was found under a cabbage leaf in the back garden.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 18 Apr 2010 12:51

Well, glad the housekeeping has been sorted out!

Afternoon, Evening, Morning everyone - depending on where you are lol.

Glad you had a good day out Maz, just a pity about the tummy problem. If it 'develops' that's an extra 2 days off for you, m'girl! Expect the shoulder is down to all the painting, Stop! It says, you've done enough!! Doesn't Andrew's insurance cover glass damage?

Lovely day again here. Spent most of yesterday in the garden, weeding and planting out. Smelt the first barbeque of the season and today can hear the clatter of cutlery and chatter over the back fence. Long may it continue, although it will probably get colder later in the week.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 18 Apr 2010 13:17
