althoooooo when i go to sunderland even over night to me mates, i come back sounding like a mackem lol

The Boro accent is softer and more rounded than the Geordie one.

While we're talking about accents I do love a Scottish accent ;-)

a couple of Mackems owned the pub near my dad, and my OH said soemthing about them being Geordie. It was a damage limitation exercise from then on LOL

Eh hinney them smoggie are intermixed with all sorts so gordie.durhamites.smoggies all sound the same.only the Cumbrians ahve a sound of their own....

I love an Italian accent and southern Irish...

yeah us smoggie n mackems hate being called geordies lol but its easy to say i sound like a geordie than im a smogie, as most people dont no what one is lmao

Birmingham/Black Country is bloody orrible and Scouse is even worse,,,,,they are my all time hated accents,,,,,,,,

Beleive it or not, I love a dutch accent, and the lovely soft lilt of Dublin. I also like the softer Northern Scottish accent, not Glaswegian. Orkney.

My OH has the worst accent, coming from Burton on Trent, he has a lot of midlands, and twenty years in Northampton just emphasises it, but he's got a touch of scouse, especially when he gets ratty, and a dash of sarf london, and he's picking a little bit up from me too LOL

But mostly, he sounds a little bit like Noddy Holder when he gets going, though not so strong.

I just wish you'd all speak normally.... like me..... and the world would be an easier place to live in.
