Hope he is better tomorrow Mummo, you said he was being sick, is he still on morphine, several people we know who have had morphine have been unable to tolerate it, three it made sick, a fourth it gave him hallucinations. Could it be the morphine making him sick?

Hello Mummo....... I'm pleased to know that you have your daughter with you now . It must be a lot better for you to have her close at hand .

Sorry to hear that Eddie was feeling sick and all . I expect some of the " shock " of the situation is starting to come out . I hope that he has a comfortable night .

Thanks for keeping up all informed xxx

Sorry to read that Eddie has been having a rough time, but how great that you managed to have a laugh together later. That, and having your daughter's company must have given you both a boost.
I hope Eddie.... and you... have a restful night.

Hi all, sorry not very good news today, Ed had a bad night and a awful morning, when l got there he told me he thought he was going to die as he was being sick and it felt like he was drowning, the nurses got him through it and have now put a tube down into his stomach to help get rid of excess fluild and now has a gadget that he presses to give him pain relief ( sorry can't remember the proper name for it ), also he has to keep giving small coughs and heavy breathing to keep his chest clear as he can't move he must try and keep it nice and clear.
I did manage to get him to have 4 spoonfuls of soup and 6 spoonfuls of rice pudding for his tea and he has been sipping water throughtout the day.
We did have a laugh this afternoon, l was putting some lip salve on him as his lips were very dry and l said to him l will put some on your bottom one as well and he thought l meant l was going to put it on his bottom, well his reply is one l can't put on here , then he realized what l meant and we did laugh.
It is so lovely to have my daughter here and done Eddie good to see her too.
Ann, yes he has a radio by his bed so can listen to radio 2 which he likes.
Time we left tonight he was feeling a bit better so fingers crossed he has a better day tomorrow, its so hard not being able to give him a kiss or a cuddle but we will soon.
Thanks again one and all for the continued support, it really does help, xxx

Good morning mummo - Sorry to hear you did not sleep well last night but I suppose it is only to be expected. Tonight you will probably sleep better with your daughter home. And by the way you ramble as much as you like you need to ramble - trouble shared etc.
Hope Eddie has a better weekend and makes a peedy recovery. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you all.
Take care
