Hi all, well we will be moving into our flat tomorrow, its been a hard time as every room needed decorating and with having to buy new carpets, cooker and a 3 and 2 seater sofas ( our one wouldn't fit into the flat) its been a expensive time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eddie is still in a great deal of pain and would you believe they phone today to tell him he could come in for a hydro therapy session tomorrow , can't belive we have been waiting weeks for it then they give us 24 hour notice and on the day were moving, so had to decline the offer :(((
Also l have had a breakdown and l am now on tablets to get me back to my usual happy self .........not, lol.
Just want to say thanks to you all and for all the PM'S from my friends on here over the last few weeks and to my mates on Daffs thread over on general, THANKYOU. xx

Morning, Still no news of a flat,
was offered one a couple of weeks ago............2nd floor, we were told the lift keeps breaking down then we were told there was no lift, steep steps up to the front door and no parking space, totally unsuitable.
Still waiting for hydro therphy we have been told it takes a few weeks for them to sort it out so when Ed has his physio he has a heat warming pad put on his back to help with the spasms, physio has now been upped to 4 times a week.
Eddie has been having a few problems with flashbacks about the fall and his time in I.C.U. and has been having awful nightmares so they are sending him a diary of his time in I.C.U and are going to arrange a visit so he can see the ward and hopefully he will be able to lay some ghosts so to speak.
In himself he is not to bad, eating little but often and we do have some fun when we go out............how many times l've threaten to leave him stranded in his wheelchair, well, lol.
Still can't believe how much our lives have changed because of the accident but we've excepted it and do try to have a few laughs along the way but we will both be glad when we move and be able to have Ed back in a bedroom and not in the sitting room.
Hope you are all ok, take care. x

Gwen, yes the flat will be in our area.
Ann, Eddie is so looking forward to the hydro therapy as not only will the water help he will be able to have a shower after..............he hasn't had one since the accident and as he says it not the same having strip washes.

I am sure hydrotherapy will help Ed. Way before the current war, about 15 years ago I had to pay a visit to Headley Court (one of the hospitals that treats military personnel injured in the war) I remember they had a fabulous hydrotherapy pool there that was well used and popular. It must be very relaxing to somebody immobile to be able to immerse themselves in warm water.
I hope you get your flat soon.

It's good to see that Ed is at last getting the help and attention he needs and deserves. I hope the warmth will ease his body and help with mobility.

I hope a suitable flat is found for you soon, so that you can start to rebuild Ed's independance. Will it be in your home area?

Sending best wishes to you both.

Hi ladies, things are still plodding on.
They have now decided to give Ed hydro therapy as every time the physio works with him his back is going into spasms so hope the warm water will relax him.
They have now apologised to us and they have admitted that Eddie did slip through the net when he was discharged from hospital, but how can someone with injuries as bad as his slip through the net, God it makes me so angry.
Ed is managing to get around indoors with his crutches and still needs a wheelchair for outside and still cannot get upstairs.
We are now waiting for a flat with a wet room so Ed can have a bit more independence and have now applied for all the right benefits so hopefully things will soon be sorted.
Thanks again to you all for your continued support and Rach don't know what l would have done without you. xxxxx
