Aw Mummo, I've been following this thread since the accident, and you are both in my thoughts. So glad you have some better news today.

As others have said, the love you share shines through in your posts, and it is that which will pull him through all this. I wish you both well, and please do keep us all informed of his progress.

Glad things are looking a little better Mummo, and you must feel happier now that you have been able to have a little 'chat' with Eddie, as must he.
I am sure the time will fly by til your daughter is back with you and you can help support each other as well as entertain Eddie when you visit him. he is being very brave and as long as he follows instructions things will improve soon I hope. Sounds as tho he has plenty of women around him with you and your daughter and the nurses, to keep him in order.

Hi, Eddie is now off the ventilator and at the moment his breathing is not to bad, if it get worse they will sedate him and put the venitilator back in, so fingers crossed. He is still on a oxygen mask and still bringing up them flem, (hate that bit)
I went up the hospital at 8.45am this morning as l had to drop my daughter off at the airport early so spent a while with Ed then came home for a short sleep which has made me feel a bit better.
Eddie is still in intensive care and didn't sleep at all last night and is still having some funny thoughts..........he told me that when they were moving him the lift broke down and they were stuck for quite a while, sorry not true he hasn't been moved, lol.
He did have a few spoonfuls of porridge and half a cup of tea this morning do thats another good sign, mind you once he is transfered to a " normal " ward at least he can watch some tv so will be something for him to do.
Right you lovely peeps am going to get ready and go back up the hospital and lets see if me and Ed can have a few laughs this afternoon, iam going to take him a book up and will read to him might take his mind of other things.

Edit - Could you take a small CD player into the hospital and maybe get some book on CD (from the library ) for him to listen to ?

That is good news, I bet he did sleep though he thinks he didn't.
It is great that he is off the ventilator, so he can talk to you.
