'Tis the 2nd here. That's what happens in the mystical land of Oz :0))

Reached 30c here yesterday according to my garden thermometer alhough the official temp was only 27c.

I would love to spend another Autumn in the UK; here in WA seasons don't really change all that much.

Allan it is nice sometimes , autumn colours on the trees . the mist coming up over the mountains after a frosty night . sun behind . then wind & rain . leaves all gone :0)) . you will have to come over here & then you will appreciate your OZ . the oceans & spectacular scenery . Barbra

Yes, Barbra, we do have some spectacular scenery an certainly other states here, particularly Tasmania do have pronounced seasons, but we just seem to go from hot to cold with a few nice weeks in between.

Hello to any passers by.

Weather here was hot (34c at 10.00am). I hope that Shirley is enjoying her trip to Oz, and that she hasn't had too much bad weather in the Eastern States.

Will chat later

Allan Report 2 Nov 2010 23:03

Barbra, that's the problem in Summer. It heats up early and never really cools down. At least at the moment it cools down in the evening, but yes, early to bed and early to rise

When we are up we water the garden before it becomes too hot.

The budgie souns like a good idea :0))

Allan.

Thanks, Miss mone.....sorry Barbra

Curry is actually rather cooling. We have the biggest swimming pool available. It's called the Indian Ocean.

Just a pity that it also used by sharks, sea snakes, blue ringed octupussies and numerous other deadly creatures!

Got to love old mother nature :0))

Hello Barbra Moneypenny, Carole and of course Allan.
I agree that curry can cool you down. The hotter the better, as it makes you perspire.

Allan Report 4 Nov 2010 11:33

Hello all

Carolee, a lot cooler today 24c and with a good drop of rain plus thunder. The rain was great for the garden but was of no help in the general water shortage.

Colin, I love a hot curry and although my normal curry is my own recipe, I do have a recipe for Beef Vindaloo which is great.

Barbra, I hope that you are still keeping well and not overdoing things:0)) Any news on when your brother might be going for his op?

Take care all

Allan
