l spoke with Dutch the other day, she definately does'nt sound her usual self yet bless her!! and still had'nt heard from her son. l'm pretty sure she will be back on the boards asap because it is important to her, lets hope she does'nt take on too much this time....YOU hear this Dutch, don't take on too much, you have to look after YOU.

Thanks Jean, I am coping but living day to day at moment.
I spoke to Joyce last night and she is wanting to come home during the week, she wants to talk to us all so I am hoping Jan will let her use computer if she doesn't sit all day at it. I agree with him that she needs the exercise which she is not getting sat at computer all day, but she misses it so much. It's her lifeline like for a lot of us.
I tell her every time we speak that peeps send their love and say hello so don't worry about that, she says 'aw thats nice'.

Good about her lung, let's hope they can sort the kidney and Cholestrol out now.

Well thats great news. I was so worried the shadow on her chest was something nasty!

Well that is good news. Hope Joyce is now feeling loads better. Hope you enjoyed your tea Caz - we had spag bolls - very nice it was too - even if I say so myself.

Joyce has rung, I told her to text, the monkey, lol. The doctor said her colesterol (sp) was up and her kidneys are not very good, she has to have some medication but I'm not sure what for. The good news is that her second x-ray was fine, doc said it must have been an infection she had on the first one, also the hip x-ray was fine as well no problems.
Must go, helping with tea.

I was there when she opened the envelope, she heard post come and trogged off for it leaving me hung there talking to myself. She sorted through them and said, to herself,' oh one for me'. Opened it still leaving me stuck there waiting, she said, again to herself, 'what the?' 'what have they gone and done now'-- then a silence and a sniff. I was shouting down the phone for her to pick up, when she did she said 'did YOU know about this'? but her voice was a bit emotional, it was lovely to be part of her surprise. She kept stopping to sniff when she was reading the names out, I felt a tear forming for her. She asked why so many people had contributed and why,and I told her that it was because so many peeps on here loved her, and that's why she has to renew her subs. She can't wait to get on a computer herself and talk to you all. One or two have wished they were a fly on the wall, I hope the above gives you some idea, I'm so glad I phoned at the time I did.

Joyce can't remember the name of her sons illness but said it was grade(?) 3 and he has been given two inhalers.

Thinking of Joyce this morning - hope she gets some answers from the doctor. I would have liked to be a fly on the wall when she opened her surprise. Thanks again to Carole and Wendy for organising.
