Does anyone know about a mother and baby home situated at 73 Canarvan Road, Stratford, East London? I would really love someone to share memories with me of what it was like there - particularly in 1960 - either as a mother-to-be - or as someone who worked there - even if you lived in that road and remember it. I am trying to make a kind of "back story" for my brother-in-law who was adopted - so he can realize what it was like for young women who were pregnant and unmarried at that time. |
