I wonder if he'll meet him Julie lol. Bet he'd have something to say...

He IS in the building, he was sneaked in through the back door. I would suggest we just all switch off, but I know me, and I know curiosity will get the better of me LOL.

Confirmation on the news that Griffin WILL appear on Question Time tonight. Angry demonstrations outside the BBC, and some got into the building. I think they've been thrown out now, but doesn't bode well for tonight. The road is blocked by demonstrators right now.

They haven't mentioned Lenny Henry today, so I'm not sure he's going to be there after all.

I've a feeling that Nick Griffin will come across as very urbane and reasonable. The Devil always hides his cloven hooves, horns, and tail when he's out in public. That's why he's so dangerous.

It wasn't so long ago that McGuinness appeared on question time, and he actually DID the murders that Adams organised.

So in that light, maybe having a racist, facist bigot like Griffin isn't quite so bad. It will be interesting to hear the arguments against him and how he handles it. Remember, it's only in the last few days his party have been told they are breaking the law by not allowing membership on account of race/colour....aww shame eh?

That's why I think Lenny Henry will ask him for membership LOL

Bl**dy N**head P**tts

Hope he shows himself and his party up so even those without a braincell can see what idiots they are!

HEHEHE Love to go though his family tree - im sure he is not as 'pure' as he thinks .... mind you with a mentality like that, I wouldn't at all be suprised to find some in breeding!

The BNP in Shepherds Bush.....Me thinks they'll need a lot of security

Seems like griffin may be 'whingeing' himself off 'Question time':

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/6386936/BNP-leader-Nick-Griffin-accuses-police-of-abandoning-his-security-at-BBC.html#

Basically, the police have told him his security is his problem!! LOL

Popular chap isn't he? (NOT)

Gerry Adams HAS appeared on question time - in 1997
- albeit 'muted' with an actor speaking his words - like that made much difference!
That was in the days before he was an acceptable member of 'the establishment' - you know, when he was the organiser of the murder of innocent people.
My, how times change - the B*stard should be rotting in jail!

On that basis, Dermot - either or both.

Maybe we could expect a visit from Mugabe?

In my view - bring them all on - they'll show themselves up for what they are.

According to the BBC website, Nick Griffin 'may appear on question time'.

But then again he may not!
The line up of him, Jack Straw, Lennie Henry plus two others would be good!
We shouldn't sink as low as the BNP and not allow free speech/access/a right to 15 minutes of fame - cos I'm sure Nickie boy will be so full of himself his foot will be in his mouth a lot of the time!
Poor lad didn't stand much of a chance with his parents (both were fascists - particularly his dad)

Dermot

Dermot Report 21 Oct 2009 23:22

Which other politician should not be allowed on the show? Perhaps Jerry Adams may expect an invitation shortly.

Regarding the "vetting" of questions, my friend was in the audience a while ago, with a question for the then health minister. She said they have to have two questions ready and there is an audience rehearsal. Sadly the question she really wanted to ask was disallowed.
So much for free speech!

suzian Report 21 Oct 2009 22:28

I'll be having a very early night. I can't see any point in dignifying this "man's" appearance on TV by watching. He can have nothing to say that I'd be remotely interested in hearing.

I'll leave it up to Jack Straw to shoot him down in flames (allegorically) with legal stuff, Lenny Henry to take the mickey out of him and those who chose to vote for him to - hopefully - reconsider their position.

The BNP latest ploy of using our troops as some kind of propaganda weapon in his "cause" descends to new depths. Despicable man, despicable opinions. I think an early bath.....

Ole Dimbleby said only last week that nobody knows the questions until the member of the audience actually asks them, but I can't see that they would allow random questions, especially on Thursday.

Sue (Sylvia Z )

Sue (Sylvia Z ) Report 21 Oct 2009 17:44

I thought Baroness Warzi (sp) and Bonnie Greer were meant to be on the panel? Perhaps someone has pulled out, so Lenny is a replacement.
Just to add a little fuel to the fire, I wonder who Mr Griffin will sit next to?

I know the questions will have been vetted by the Beeb, but it will make interesting watching, if I can keep the "Off" button out of reach.lol
