Morning ladies~~

I was late getting up and then realized it was our refuse and recycling collection day, so had to rush to get the refuse bin out, had to manoeuvre it past our cars, the drive is long but both my men put their cars at the back ,bin is at the back of the bungalow so had to be careful getting it past them.
Managed it in time, it was collected within 10 mins.!
Never know over the Xmas period when they are going to do the collections :(
All done now !

Morning this is an attempt to get back to normal .I have some work today and some chores here to do son is in today to get the school buses going ready for the morning although all our schools are on teacher training tomorrow

We had a sprinkling of snow overnight.. gone now tho :)

Hubby and dau have been on the net looking for the Teal mats for my bathroom lol. Dau put in her post code from when she was in Uni and they do have the ones I want in Port Talbot. Argos..40 miles away !
Hubby's just found some Laura Ashley ones of nearly the right colour, but is checking a few other sites , I'm going to order them anyway.. well he will ,as he has a Paypal account, I don't.

Horrible, Paula when peeps don't pick after their dogs, I never went out without plastic bags in my pocket when I walked mine and their are plenty of 'dog' bins around here to dispose of them !!!

I remember one yr my Trixie eating all of the chocolate deccies off the Christmas tree.. the ones he could reach, silver wrappings also !!
He wasn't a pup then, just a crafty little so and so :))
Partly my fault I suppose as I trained him to stay in one room whilst I hid treats in another, then called him to search for them which he always did and found them.lol
Well I was a mere teenager so I had to take the blame.lol

quiet day today.No church service and no family here. We have just taken the tree and decs down. Saved some bits from the christmas cards to make gift tags for next years presents.
Everywhere seems filthy outside now that the snow has gone.Lots of dog dirt and broken glass about no matter where I walk the dogs.Hope 2011 is happy and healthy for you and your loved ones. xxxx

Both in fashion then Maz with our purple wellies !
Son is working 9 - 2pm in As*a today, hubby an I attempted to go there for veg and bread, but the cars were queuing around 2 roundabouts to get in there we abandoned the idea:)
Went to a green grocer in town, didn't have my beloved kidney beans, didn't think they would cos I often shop there, like to keep the local trade going, had a savoy cabbage, and a loaf of thick bread from our local garage shop.
The traffic was manic , again ! Like Xmas eve.
For goodness sake the snow has now gone with us, I only have a small freezer, 4 adults.. we aint going to starve, shops will be open again on the 2nd of Jan.. and there is no snow stopping deliveries now !

Bathroom 'almost' finished still can't get my teal coloured mats !!!!!
Dau bought a load of teal coloured towels for Xmas but what A*gos advertise as new teal coloured mats are out of stock in the 3 stores we have within 8 miles of us !!
Going on their site now , by hook or by crook I will get my chosen coloured mats somewhere soon :)

It's been lovely chatting to you since I joined Brian's thread and then started this one .

morning I got snow boots and purple wellies in Bishop for the price of boots in the metro centre

Lol Maz , went shopping for boots and ended up with nail clippers from Boots !
Still limping slightly ,no wonder, the bruises have now come out on my ankle and black either side below each of my ankle bones left one still sore to touch, right on still scabbed from wearing my new wellies in the snow and getting a blister.Joys of bad weather !
To top it --my right hand has now all gone numb and tingly.
I thought I had slept awkwardly on it, cos it felt like pins and needles, but it's still there 6 hours after getting up. Just noticed they are puffed up also !
Excellent excuse not to peel the potatoes.lol
Snow nearly gone with this thaw and fog, just the piles on the front garden and patio from where I shovelled the snow, going down tho !

Hope you got your bargain Maz:)
I still have my green country wellies.but treated myself to a bright purple fashion knee high pair with huge grips for the snow. My fashion boots (Leather) don't leak but obviously aren't waterproof, despite dubbing on them.
I have a good pair of walking boots I use if snow is not too deep:)

I must explain my yesterdays post..I must have posted the original on another thread. Son went out with friends a few evenings ago in freezing temps with just a tee shirt on.( and jeans of course) They were going to a pub in town 2 miles east and then taxiing back to a town 2 miles west. His friend left his coat in the first pub,so son picked it up for him and continued to wear it the rest of the evening ! Lad's being lads son didn't give him back that evening. !! Cos he was then warm, he didn't take his own coat cos he only has leather jackets and didn't want it pinched.!
They are still good mates lol boys will be boys !

Can see some green grass on my front and back lawns now.)))) Yeah !

same here Maz. I was going to clean the church today but decided to leave it, hoping that paths are safer soon. Just pottering about the house and playing on the puter today.

hi just been to a staff meeting so had to venture out we have had rain ,on snow and the temp is dropping again main roads are ok but the rest is awfull

Thanks for your thoughts:) Yes the swelling has gone down a bit now in the ankle and not half as painful as yesterday.

It's raining here now but if the temp drops !!! well it's going to be dreadful under foot.
I can see half of the patio except from where I shovelled and piled the snow .lol

morning all ,it is snowing here and i have a visit to do to a client but in Bishop so hopefully it will be a bit better underfoot .

had a lovely Christmas day with all the family here, then went to Rochelles for lunch yesterday. Poor Richard was back at work and he has to drive all the way to Grimsby this morning. We have more snow and I'm fed up with it now.
