Hi girls ~~~

Late for you Maz :) You normally 'wake ' us all up !
Any news on your renovations.?
Our bathroom looks really good now, but still need blinds, and the leak fixed.... not looking forward to that:(

Grey and miserable here too.
Can't do my usual long walk as my ankle, tho much better causes me to limp and affects my hip then, so it has to be gentle exercise:)

Keep warm.. notice my heating has come back on.. it's on a thermostat, not timed.

Asked the GP to check my blood pressure today,as mum suffered with high, and also so do a lot of my cousins on my mothers side, it was 128/75, which he said was fine, it averaged 120/70 when I was pregnant ( the only written records I have of it) .
It was always checked when I donated blood, which I haven't for a while, and GP had the read out right in front of me on his desk this morning ,so I thought I'd ask for a check :)

Glad all was well at the clinic Paula, I expect your BP was raised cos of your concern, if it's OK at home. Keep a check on it:)

When visiting the ante natal clinic expecting my first, I reversed into a low step (could not see it out off my mirrors or windows) just heard this crunch, hubby's car..didn't have mine then.. no obvious damage, but expected my BP to be off the scale but is was OK fortunately. My mum had a history of high BP and I was regarded as a risk, having my first at 30.

I was a regular blood donor, passed my 25th donation and have my silver badge, would have been near to my gold now but you can't donate when pregnant or for 12 months after. Was miffed after having my son as they refused to take blood ..but I felt like an Ox:(

I'm 56 and it's my second Mammogram ( excluding the recall) so every 3 yrs I presume.
Glad you're feeling better after yours Maz :)

Grizzly old day today:( a bit warmer tho.

diabetic clinic was quite pleased with me although my blood pressure was very high again. It always is when I have to go to the docs.Readings I do at home are ok.
I'm off to the dentist shortly, yuk, wish it was over.
Hope your bruising has eased Maz. How often do we have mammagrams?
It seems a long time since I had mine so must be due another one soon.

I tend to bruise easily Maz , sometimes I don't know where they come from..?

Gosh you must be very easily bruised or they do a different procedure up North.
I felt no different coming out than going in !

Hope your soreness clears up soon ..hopefully it has already. Sandie.x

HI girls~~

Maz
My leaflet ' Breast Test Wales' doesn't mention anything about bruising especially on the shoulders, was the examiner a bit rough with you ?
I'm 36B and have never had any probs with bruising, after any of the scans on boobs or shoulders
Hope it clears up soon :)

How's things with you Paula ..?

Hi~~

You must have a bigger chest than me Maz, friends say it it is unpleasant if you're more well endowed
Sorry to hear that you are bruised and sore :( tho friends have complained that the procedure was uncomfortable , they've never complained of any uncomfortable after effects. Give the Screening Centre a ring to check out that all's OK or see your GP.
I still have the leaflet they sent me, it says 'Some may find it uncomfortable or painful. but normally just for a brief time'.. 3 days is not a brief time in my book !

Hope you haven't caught hubby's cold / flu Paula:)

Hello girls~~

I didn't find the mammogram unpleasant , just the recall scared me !!
Hope your results are fine Maz:)

How did your clinic apt go Paula ? Well I hope:)
You didn't say whether you had type 1 or 2.

Beautiful clear blue skies here, no wind but still very frosty.

Same here Paula weather wise .

It's still frosty where the sun hasn't reached.

Best wishes for your visit to the D Clinic.. is it type1 or 2 you have. ?
2 of my cousins (twins) both have type 2.

I have an apt for a Mammogram on Fri, I had a recall on the first one I had (scared me ) but everything was OK :).....
And an apt with the Orthopaedic Neurologist about my fingers on my right hand the following Fri. It's just a nuisance now,.... I've got used to it , but it is painful if my hand gets cold . I always wear lined leather thermal gloves when I go out.
Sister sent me my first pair for Christmas a few years ago , don't buy anything else now:) Woollen gloves total waste of time for me !!
