*$parkling $andie* Report 2 Apr 2011 22:32

HI~~
Had my new debit card today from the bank..they were quick.
The credit card is in hubby's name and I am secondary card holder ,so he had to request that.. 7..10 days, Son's discount card from As *da may take 3 weeks !! to be replaced.
I did have 'words' with the first guy I spoke to at the bank cos the 2 questions he asked me I didn't know, (he was not of Welsh nor Briti*h origin) tho I had my account number as we still have a cheque book,
He wanted to know our overdraft limit and a regular direct debit transaction , I didn't have our bank statement to hand and asked if he could wait until I found it but he said I'd failed the questions and hung up on me....Boy was I bouncing.
Once I found the statement and rang back spoke to a Briti*h lad, I was able to give the info and all was OK... hence :) new card.
I was initially annoyed and then upset ...feels like a violation again your privacy ... £6 isn't a lot, but to some it would be. My cards were my concern as hubby had transferred monies into our current account to put into an ISA.
Whey hey..that's life..
Don't bother dusting Maz ..it will only add up, wipe down with a damp cloth, hope things are going OK.
What is the prob with Lois's hind legs Paula.. she only very young.Hope it can be sorted:)

Hi~~
Drizzly here too :(
Left / lost my see thro brolly my dau bought me for Xmas, in the hosp on Wed... had to see so many different peeps , must have put it down in one of the rooms and forgotten it .:(
It wasn't expensive but I hate loosing things.
I had my purse taken out of bag on Thurs, whilst going to the other hospital in the city. There was about £6 in it, plus all my 'plastic credit and debit cards', so I cancelled them as soon as I got home, they are 'chip and pin' , but someone could have used them on line, so the bank told me today... hopefully not. Once they were bocked..they couldn't.
Nothing has been taken out of our current account up to today anyway, and the credit company
Such is life.

*$parkling $andie* Report 30 Mar 2011 19:05

I actually went to the hosp today but the letter said I would been seen by a Dr and a nurse.
No wonder the National Health service is in it in the state it is in.
I saw 5 people, 1 sister acting up for the Dr , 1statf nurse who asked me the same questions, 1person weighed me and measured my height, another same grade, did my BP and ECG, and then another nurse same grade took a blood sample.
In my GP practise that would have taken 2 people. !
Apart from my blood test , cos I left then everything else was OK.
Back in a bit.

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 Mar 2011 21:38

Sure everything will be fine for Lois tomorrow, Paula, but we do worry about our 'babes' don't we.

When Sandy ( dad's last dog , who ended a up as ours) had an op for a growth on his side dad stayed up with him all night.
He'd always had dogs and he was a real softie with them when he got older .
He let Sandy get away with what he wanted.. up on the furniture, which he would never have allowed his other dogs to do.
When mum died in 1991, he hadn't had a dog for a few yrs, he was 78 then and said he couldn't train a pup so I took him to the dog rescue centre and he chose Sandy: He was a darling , marvellous with children, mine were 3 and 5 then and they could do anything with him. Fine with dad and hubby, but wary of some men. No probs with women, I could control him much better than dad, some male must have mistreated him before abandoning him, how can some one be so cruel !!

Bit grey here now thro it was brighter earlier on.

If you lived closer Paula, I could have saved you a bit on your plants, hubby's been on the garden most of the weekend, dividing plants and generally tidying up.
He'd potted up plants he divided last yr... he's gone to work with a boot full of plants for the peeps in work who have moved into new houses and have nothing in their gardens at all.
Perennials ...primulas, forget me nots , fuchsias, red poppies, geraniums :
It's lovely to have colour in the garden :)

Maz , take it easy get your son to help out, I get shattered packing a suitcase, with the constant bending over .
