Yes Stan~~lol
I've sussed it now.. knew it was a Welsh team.

Dad was a footie player, and his 2 sons in law played Rugby.. imagine !!!
They never had a cross word tho.. lots of banter :)

Hubby now 'retired' watches both. He was a good rugger player, a county player in school and had a trial for Wales.
Not to be tho:(

Hi all~~

Good on you Stan :-) Click away .....I only started this thread cos Brian's got deleted, and they are a lovely bunch of peeps.
Don't know what it's like with you, but it's drizzly here.

Hope you can get your refund Maz ;-)

Son 'disappeared' earlier... there is a footie match on I suspect, we have Sky but he likes to watch it with friends. Ours all have tele's , but only the living room one has Sky.... sorry but I may sound a nasty mum.. but I'm not paying for Sky in every room.. we've paid for their teles, now they are working if they wish to have Sky they can contribute towards it in their own rooms.
Priorities.!

Yeah.. I recall the thread now.

Great shame you couldn't meet up Maz. :-(

Jude organised one for South Wales, it was great, I hope the others enjoyed it as I did :-)

Meg is a resilient lady Paula, but stubborn as well. She will not let anyone walk the dog, so I keep an eye for her to go with her.. she sometimes takes a different route..not past my house, so I try to go go out for walk when I know the times she is about.
It's about her time and it's fine here just now , so I'll don my jacket in case it rains , and pop out to see if she's about.

Sorry Maz.

Still confused.
We are British but we all have different dialects and terminology.

I love it tho.. the beauty of different speech.

One holidays in Greece on yr I went up to a gang of Geordies that I thought were Welsh.. they were singing Welsh songs .lol

Oh no $andie, I do hope Meg is o.k. It's good that she still manages to get out for fresh air and exercise and perhaps she feels safe having the dog with her.
Like all of us we like our independence and she maybe is worried that if she admits defeat over walking the dog someone will take it off her :>(

I am also mystified regarding nut lodge........enlighten us please Maz lol xx

Afternoon ladies~~

Translation required on that last post Maz .lol...Nut lodge lot.?

My elderly neighbour who walks her White Alsation twice a day , fell just inside her gates a few days ago, she doesn't know what happened but we think it was a mini stroke. She went to Hosp but wouldn't stay in, she was out the next morning walking the dog.
Bless her, her right eye is black and blue and she's bruised her legs.
I went up yesterday and will pop up later,

Must do tea now.

McGinty is tethered but can jump the fence. Either side of the footpath the grass is lush and green and you know what they say about the grass being greener lol
Heavy rain again today but thank goodness the winds have died down.Washing on the rads again.
just playing on the computer and watching tv this afternoon.

Good day~~~
Sun is shining between the heavy rain showers.........
Just got caught in one putting the plants out of the greenhouse .. in between typing.lol

Yes it does seem along time to see any response to my op. I shall be questioning that tomorrow when I go for my 6 week check up.
The only relief I have is that I can sleep without been woken with pain in my hand if my arm is bent, tho I still try to sleep with my arm outstretched on a soft pillow.

Oh gosh Paula... encountering a goat !!! They can be nasty.
Should the owner have it loose on the allotment ... questionable..?
Our dogs( when I was a child) weren't neutered and unfortunately would have a 'go' at anything bigger than themselves.
The mutt I had when I was about 10 would even have a go at his brother whom my neighbour had and lived 2 doors away. But only if he was out with my sister or had 'escaped' down the garden wall. He wouldn't have 'go' at anything when I walked him , even off leash Dad said.. you have him you train him, which I did.. but I was a 'mere' child.
He would obey me and dad outdoors, and everyone indoors.. mum never walked him, sister used to walk him when she was courting .lol , but needed a leash , just in case.
Hope Lois is over that encounter :-)

Hope you're OK Maz... you are normally the first to post.
Hope you are off doing more pleasing enjoyable things.
:-)

at last it has stopped raining. Enjoyed a short stroll with Lois apart from confronting McGinty on a very narrow bit of the footpath. He is a huge goat in case you wondered and Lois was terrified.
I was worried he might kick out or butt, fortunately his owner was in the allotment and came to our rescue lol. He is a very handsome creature I must say.(the goat that is)
Been going through hot matches...boring, waste of time.
$andie, what a long time to wait for some improvement :>(

Hi~~~
=I
Son has started his job today, tho he had to confirm his reference details on Saturday.
I thought the employers did that check before hand .

I'm going to do more walking.. or get back to I used to do as I've put on a bit of weight with not doing what I used to.
When son graduated and was home , I 'd prefer to stay and chat to him when he wasn't doing his part time work.

Fingers crossed all went OK today for him, there should be no probs with his references , I was talking to his boss in Asd* today, she couldn't sing his praises high enough.
He came home last night, his last (formal) shift, with a huge cake ..half eaten 3 cards signed by his colleagues on George and Customer Services staff and a large bottle of Eau de toilette of Paul Smith.
I say his last formal shift as has retained his 'seasonal' title and will work the odd weekend if required, as he and 3 other graduates who worked there have quit within a few weeks of each other, so they may well be looking for peeps to cover on the weekends, and I keep my 10% discount
