Afternoon all~~
Back and leg are still the same unfortunately, the worst is when I am shuffling the pain sometimes shots down the front of my leg and 'explodes' in my knee as if someone is hitting it with a hammer.I have to lie down then for it to recover.
It gone over cloudy now, but hubby has put 2 lines of washing out for me. I haven't set foot out side the door since Thurs morning. This computer chair is probably the best in the house for me to sit on cos the back can be adjusted for me to sit upright , and of course can be highered or lowered.
How did the Slimming world go Paula.? Maz , you didn't say whether the work was now finished around the house.
Hope you are both having a good weekend:)

Hi ~~~
Paula , your Cholesterol level is v.good, I don't know much about sugar levels ( 2 of my cousins are Type 2 Diabetics ) ,and from what I recall them saying that is a good reading. I found Slimming world great, I suppose it can be a bit daunting going on your own the first time. I sure you were OK tho, peeps are all there for the same reason ,and the class organisers have been 'there' themselves. A few of us went from work the first time I went. Lost 2 and half stone, relapsed after a while but lost weight again thro brisk walking when I gave up work. They were a lovely bunch that went there, tho I often only went to weigh, used to chat to most of them when queuing.:)
No rest 'for the wicked 'Maz ' still working after schools out., I know it's a different job, hope you're enjoying it. Have you all your work done now on the house ? Decorating after takes up so much time too !
I haven't been on the PC for a few days, we had the Aber meet on Monday, and we were standing about a bit for 2 peeps to turn up , then I was standing around on the way home as I'd just missed a bus, got home and after tea just went bed cos I was shattered. My hip gradually got worse I kept dosing myself up and doing shorter walks, but got up 5.30am Thurs morning was in a lot of pain, whilst taking pain killers in the kitchen I had this sudden sharp pain shot up my back and down my right leg.. I screamed, never felt anything like it before.I managed to get to the dining room next door to sit down. I eventually got back to bed, but could hardly walk. Fortunately hubby has been off work this week, so was able to take me to the Dr's later that morning, she say's I've probably torn a muscle, she just prescribed painkillers almost the same as I was taking before, these have a small amount of Codeine in them, hot and cold compresses , and to 'potter' around. Hobble is the best thing I can do at the mo, from room to room, Then fall on the bed for a rest. Just a well we have a bungalow. Any ' walking / hobbling ' feels as if someone has attacked my knee and hip with a hammer ! Hubby's done all the work around the house, he'll probably have to do the shopping tomorrow alone !, Dau is off next week so if there is no improvement it will be down to her, otherwise they won't get fed! Simple as. Going to have a quick look at the boards and then off to bed.
Nite all~ luv Sandie.x

I do miss having a garden, a yard just isn't the same. I went for my blood results and the doc was pleased. My cholesterol is 3.6 and my blood sugar average is 6.7. My thyroid was fine so no need to change my meds. I got the nurse to give me a referral for slimming world. I get 12 free weeks so might as well give it a go. Just have to wait for letter and vouchers to come through the post then go along and register.

Hi~~
Fresh peas and baby broad beans on today's lunch menu... delicious :-)
Next door neighbour is better now,tho still has a really bad cough, so is walking their dog Molly. His dau is a teacher ,she's finished now for the summer and has a dog of her own.. so I suspect she'll be walking the dog if he relapses.. she's a very timid dog, and he was reluctant to let me walk her, but he and his wife were so ill , he gave in.! Other neighbour asked if I would walk his pup Maisie, firstly when he went away for the weekend with the choir and last week when he had an op on his left elbow. He was only a day patient and has his left arm in a sling, but wants walk her himself if he can. So I'm redundant for now :-(
Still do my walks tho, ....keep the joints supple as I can. My hip is better today, just read on the Ibuprofen gel that can use up to 10cm of gel each application, 4 times a day...that would mean a tube would only last just over a day. I've been using no where near that... Fingers crossed it's getting better.

good afternoon, was rather cold here last night, down to 4 degrees :-P get the results of my blood tests tomorrow afternoon at the diabetic clinic. Hope they are ok. Sounds like you have started a job as a dog walker Sandie, A young friend I talk to on face book walks dogs for people who work and live near to her. She also has 5 dogs of her own, she must be fit lol Have had a lot of broad band trouble again. Sometimes its down for a few hours and even when it's on it's very slow. Gary did a speed test and I think he said we only had a third of a gigabyte when we should have at least four. several phone calls to BT who said it was a problem at the exchange and wou;ld be fixed by yesterday but it is still slow so they may have to come out to the house to sort it out :-(

Hubby's weeding,.... now that garden has dried off a bit, .....he'll pick some peas and baby broad beans for lunch tomorrow , might have some main crop potatoes, we've had the earlies... they tasted lovely.
He went food shopping yesterday, after dropping me at the hairdressers, and picked a very large bag of fresh peas for £1 at Morris*ns, they were good value.. son thought they were out of our garden !

Hi all~~ My arm is not too bad in the day Maz, but trying sleep comfortable, phew... it's a no no :-( It's back and hip is my problem now, the pain came on so quickly, it was all could do to get out of bed :-( It's better some days than others, so I alternate walking with resting. It will be 3 weeks on Sunday I think , it flared up, if I still have it next week I'm going to the Dr's...............Grizzle over ! 'School's out for Summer' here..what summer..?
Hope the results of your blood tests were fine Paula :-) Have put a wash on but showers are forecast , so they will go on the clothes horse.

Evening~~
We have quite a few Wetherspoons within about a 10 mile radius of us (5 ). Haven't been to the one in Abergavenny ( town where we will be having our meet on Monday) nor the one in the town hubby works, of the others one is very light and open with an airy feeling, the other is on 2 levels and has a darker decor, more like an posh old fashioned pub. Quite good value food in the 2 places I've eaten.
Been dog walking twice today, next door neighbour and his wife are still poorly with some sort of flu like virus, other neighbour's been in hosp for and an op on his elbow. Both dogs are cocker spaniels but are so so different , tho both are good on the leash and enjoy their walks. Maisie is crazy in the house, she's only a pup yet but she so is so friendly, Molly on the other hand is very yappy yet very timid.
Hairdressers tomorrow.. Grr.. must be done ,hair badly needs cutting ..it is like a bush and long with it., but not quite long enough to 'put up' tidily. I prefer it short now I'm over 40 ;-)
