Thanks Jude ..they are good causes.

I used to do all the paint work Maz and quite often changing colour schemes when I was working.. it was a bit of a joke with peeps in work..of ... 'what have you done again ?'

These days hubby does most of it.. I can't wallpaper anyway, tried once about a 3ft drop under the bay window, that was about it !
Dad taught me the tricks of getting wallpapering right and correcting errors, so used to supervise and pass on the info to hubby...fair play he does it really well. He's a bit of a perfectionist now .
He did a few rooms for our friends grandparents yrs ago, he'd only done his bedroom before,(practise run) when he lived with his parents, and they were very pleased, so were our friends cos they couldn't paper.lol

Hi~~

Hard when you have save up for alterations Maz. :(

Not that I'd have wished it for the world... I rather have my dad still with us, but he left his house to my sis and myself. when he died. We were going to sell ours and live there, but my 'children' are settled here and all their friends are close ( they couldn't drive at the time )
So we sold the house, and I try to do what dad would have liked with the proceeds.. home renovations etc, hubby did dad's before we sold it.
Wish he would have let us done more before., hubby used to,.but dad was stubborn tho !

Dad was very shrewd and so is hubby, the monies from the sale haven't been squandered, but invested for our 2 .. dad would have wanted that .

Hi~~~

Clear , warm but very breezy here.

Neighbour is having his kitchen re done, the noise is doing my head in !

They has a lovely bungalow , we aren't in and out all the time , but I was in there a few weeks ago and it looked smashing to me.
Their dau is getting married soon and I think he wanted it to look just top of the range.. nothing wrong in that when you can afford it.

Oh my ! ........I'm late on here

Thought you had the date or time wrong Maz, I don't normally come on early on a Sunday anyway , so should have known it was me being confused.lol

If I dried the Parsley Maz, would I just put it somewhere unobtrusive or hang it in a netted bag somewhere ?
We haven't had any if even no flies about this yr :)!!
Have had flying ants on the patio...which I dislike intensely....Skin crawling at the thought of them.ugh !

The £5 you got back Maz was that on the price check offer against another store ? Excellent !!
I can't do that offer as I still have son's discount card 10% on purchases.. I think it excludes tobacco , but no one smokes .
Tho son has a full time job with an IT company ,he is still on As*a books as seasonal so could do bank hols weekends or evening shifts if req'd.
If he doesn't do any or is not req'd the 'contract' which he never had ...Grrr. ( should have by Gov legislation) will probably end in Jan. More than likely will cos they have already asked him to work Jan 1st, he hasn't said no to them yet , but has to me .lol

Hi~~
Lovely day here, hope all is well with you.

Thanks Maz.
My late MIL had almost a set menu for the week..hubby hated that.

We never did at home, when we first married we lived at home for a few months and my late mum used to make a great effort (bless her) in asking daily what would hubby like for the evening meal.
Dau and son like different foods, hubby and I will eat mostly anything.
Bit like a café here !

Hi.all~~

Never thought of chicken Lasagne Maz.. but then Sunday's chicken is usually devoured ,any left overs (scrapings off the carcase ) are used for soup or stock. Don't know if my fussy lot would like it. I 'll try it for myself first. :-)
We do have chicken and fish more often than red meat, tho son likes beef and lamb,.. dau doesn't ! ( I know pork is also red meat but dau will eat it )
You must give me your week 's menu, by pm if you'd rather.

Too busy thinking of food .lol... Brian would be devastated if this wasn't mentioned
Weather is lovely here, one wash out , hopefully it will dry soon...it's mostly whites or Tee shirts, as I have another to put out.
Oh... the love of damp weather and 2 ' young adults ' still at home who wear one item of clothing once !!
Call me old fashioned but they only wear them for about an hour and then get chucked in the washing basket.. in son's case his underclothes and day time T's go in the basket daily ..fair play to him. Rest ..jeans gets left his chair .Dau has her own basket, but her room is either a total mess with clothes or immaculate. She has too many clothes..yet the biggest bedroom :-|
