Morning all~~

Not too bad a day, bit drizzly on and off tho,but not cold.

Been to the dentist this morning, last apt.. with the hygienist !
Had to have a replacement filing on a back tooth previously, she put in a white one in rather an amalgam one and if feels rather rough by comparison..I suppose I'll get use to it.

Hi All~~

Maz ~~ We used to have flat sapele doors (needed varnishing) when we moved here. We changed them a few yrs ago to wood coloured moulded doors. They are brill.. no need to paint, just wipe clean..and they don't need a lot of that.
Flip.. it does cost a lot redecorating!! I kept a cost of what we spent when moved in ..there was tones to do. Hubby has kept a cost he did when he renovated my dad's house...that paid off tho cos it was 2 cottages knocked into one.The first valuation was silly!! Hubby then decided to re do the interior and the clear the huge garden .
Sis or her hubby couldn't take part as they were abroad.
Good luck with it.

Morning all~~

We did have sun earlier, I pegged out dau's clothes washed overnight , but rather grey now with hardly any wind so they'll have to come in soon.

Our snow flakes have gone from the top of the board.I didn't notice that they had gone yesterday. Our tree was down before the twelve night, it' would have been MIL birthday on the 4th and was hubby's yesterday.
So any deccies usually came down after MIL went home after celebrating her birthday with us.

Hi all~~
Weather fine enough to almost dry the bed clothes.
Takes me ages to put new one's back on,.....always has done even with the single beds.
Pegs on the end of the duvet helps ;-) ;-) To put the clean one back on

Hi~~

Dry here so far, not too cold but I have the heating on to dry clothes ,and tumbler on for the towels ....just as well hubby's in work !!
He'd grizzly about clothes drying indoors..condensation and damp walls, and also the amount of leccie the tumble drier uses.
No win situation.

*$parkling $andie* Report 3 Jan 2012 14:43

Hi all~~

Real mixed bag of weather.... heavy rain and wind when I was putting the recycle bags out at about 8am, I had a weather proof jacket, over short nightie and sandals on. Dau thought I was on another planet..may be you do to , but it's easier to towels dry your legs and feet wipe the sandals, just for the sake of walking the length of the drive3 times rather than having to dry out trousers. The collections are early so had I to put then out then or they may have been missed.
I was fortunate when I went shopping ,the rain had stopped and the wind had dropped, and the sun was out. :)
We have since had hailstones ,sun, sleet and now cloudy sky and sun again..in that order.
Just had to go out to retrieve my food recycling bin, found it in the corner of our paved parking area at the front in the hedge!
I keep the recycling bags as I fill them , in the old recycling boxes ( which the council won't use any more just the bags, one of the lids is at the middle of boggy back garden, so I wedged the rectangular bin in a bog standard plastic bin behind the shed other wise it would have blown away too. The lid of the bog standard bin disappeared in the winds before Xmas still not found. It was never used as a bin hubby drilled holes in it and used it as a compost bin ,until the council provided us with a proper one,It just has plastic gardening stuff in ,so we haven't worried too much about the loss of the lid ! I'll will ask my neighbours tho when I see them.
Oh the joys of living in windy 'city'
