*$parkling $andie* Report 5 Feb 2012 15:14

Hi~~

We had the gritter up our road 3 or 4 times yesterday and with temp above freezing now ,the road is clear.

I bought salt especially to put on the walk way around the house , cleared the steps down to where recycling bins are. I didn't want to fall down those , there are only 4, but slip on one ...could injure back, head or basically any part of you.
Natural reaction is to put you hands down so save yourself, and I certainly don't want to injure my poor elbow any further.

*$parkling $andie* Report 30 Jan 2012 19:03

Hi ~~

It snowed from about 2pm yesterday til about 2pm today, but it was very fine stuff..it may have stopped overnight..don't know.
We had about 4 inches this morning, our road was messy as some traffic had been across, but it's mostly clear now. ( Roads I mean) Plenty of it left elsewhere !!
I cleared a path with my snow shifter at about 8 am to put my refuse out.
Hubby had to clear his car, dau travelled with him ,the drive is flat so he just drove thro it. Son wasn't working today and has'nt been out so his is still covered

Snow is forecast for today and tomorrow over most of the country.
When the forecaster says rain turning to snow on high ground, I know we'll get it :-(

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 Jan 2012 15:47

Hi~~

Snow on the roads has gone, but my lawn still hasn't cleared, some pavements which don't catch the sun are still icy.
I say we live on the 'Sunny side of the street'.

*$parkling $andie* Report 27 Jan 2012 11:35

Morning ~~~
The snow came down thick and fast yesterday afternoon.

Son goes to work 6.30 am and comes home early..compared to the rest of 'my workers', he managed to get up our hill easily ,tho slithered around the 90 degree corner at the end of our street .No time delay tho.

Hubby got stuck in in gridlock of traffic I guess 5 or 6 miles from home, took him and hour to get home..normally takes him 15 to 20 mins.

Dau left it until later to leave work cos I told here of the probs, still she got gridlocked and was queuing for 3 miles til she got home, she also did the slither on the corner of the street. !!

It rained in the evening making it very icy this morning ;(
Sun is out now , so I hope it all melts away!

*$parkling $andie* Report 26 Jan 2012 12:01

Where did I get the idea you were going to your course by train???!! Maz

Gosh 2 hrs either way would make it a long day for you. I bet you were exhausted, with having to absorb all the course details on Medication too.

Hailstones earlier on but fine now.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 26 Jan 2012 09:19

Morning ~~

Drizzly and rather windy here.

Hope your training goes well Maz :-)

As you know I've given up on the employment status, but I used to enjoy the courses at work.
