Morning~~~~

It's a really lashing it down here :-(

I remember when I was young we had a sparrow with a wounded wing and we cared for him /her. It got so tame it used to sit in my shoulder, I have a photo.
But dad didn't want it become domesticated, and when it was well enough he used be put out side, he used fly around for a while and come back ,his returns got less and less and eventually flew away with a mate I hope.

if a bird deffects from a cree they usually dispose of it as its not a good racer anymore ,sometimes kids have them as pets though

Oh Maz !!

I hate to see any animal suffer ,but I wouldn't know if a bird was bad enough not to recover ,and couldn't do that anyway.
If it is a racing pigeon ( guess it is if it is ringed, tho it could be just a homing pigeon..is there any difference, I think there is ) and that's what they do cos it won't race again , I'd have to have some else to do it,

I'm glad I'm having salad for tea .
Saying that I have to finish off scraping the home grown spuds I just dug up :)

poor pigeon if its lost they break their necks if you do find the owner ,I think its cruel but they take the sport so seriously around here

Hi all~~

Sunny and intermittently cloudy here.

Fine enough to dry the daily ( Grr ) wash... tho :-)

I don't know anything about pigeons EB , but hopefully his injuries will heal themselves ,as he is being fed ,for him to eventually fly his way home.

I did look on their website and it says not to contact them unless you have the bird confined as there is nothing they can do.
Well I have put the washing out but it's not drying much and the sky is overcast but heres hoping. I am not too sure about this new genes, everything seems very bright lol also I couldn't work out how to add marriage details but maybe I'm just being dim.
Must get the hoover out and do some ironing. Catch you later girls xx

We've had steady fine rain all day :-(

Poor pigeon...would that club be near you EB ? Perhaps they'd come and rescue him if you phoned.

word is that the weather is set to improve again. Hopefully it will make things easier on the laundry front.
Have had a stray racing pigeon hanging round for the past 9 days so bought some pigeon corn for it. It looks to have an injury on its chest . I can't catch it to read the ring number apart from NEPU at the beginning which is the north east pigeon union.
Felt so sorry for it sitting on our wall with one wing over its head during that torrential downpour yesterday :-(
