Morning all~~

Weather is pleasant for walking, slight breeze, white clouds in the sky but the sun is trying to pop thro.

I assume Maz that closure of one of the churches maybe in threat of closure.
It's a sad day when that has to happen.

Its the same with the schools, the school which I attended had a separate infant block, a junior block and a separate canteen on the same very large site.
They were closed about 5 yrs ago, also the one about a mile away, the nearest now is 2 -3 miles away ! I don't if the y put on buses!
It was one of the reasons my dads house took so long to sell.. no school within walking distance.
I would have thought they would have kept one of them open ,as in my days we had very small classes, but now there has been so much building in the village the population (especially the younger generation with children has increased)

Morning all the meeting was a very positive one in wolsingham last night .Ray is a lovely person and has much to give we now have to wait for the votes from the four churches

we have a meeting with Ray richardson tonite to look at the future of the four churches in Weardale He has offered to be our moderator so we will see how it goes

I probably won't buy another, we have 3 now , I enjoy walking and at the mo son is at home if I need a lift, things could change, tho.
I can walk to our local As*a, but hubby passes it daily and then it's only a 30min walk home. I can walk to our local Tes*o but the return journey is a steep incline home. I don't think she will use it every day ! But there again if on call she may have to take it daily.
I won't use the bus, it's £ 1.40 single to the nearest town which ever direction :(
Share out the choccies. lol... a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips !!!

talk about chocolate was excellent.Learnt about the history of it.Lots about the work of founders of Cadburys,Rowntrees,nestle ,Thorntons etc. Then we had a quiz and finally using names of choc bars found texts from the bible with the
names in.Lots of fun and everyone got some chocs to take home.

$andie,it has poured with rain almost all day from the early hours and still now,apart from an hours break at lunch time .
will you get another car or resort to the bus if your dau takes yours?

Afternoon all~~

Not a choccie person at all, they only thing I like sweet is fruit, then I don't like them too sweet. I'd rather eat a tomato or cucumber than a very sweet fruit..
I love savouries and could munch them all day.

We did have rain earlier on but it's dried up now and is cloudy. I expect we' ll have more later :(

The bumps on my car have been repaired, looks tidy now :) They weren't my fault, some one scratched the whole side, ( 4 panels ) and dented the bonnet £370 for the lot !
Dau has had promotion from her first grade at which she entered so she will need a car for work, so she now has to be the Insurer of the car so I've ' vertually 'given it to her. It's 5 yr old and I think she'd like to change it as it has my personalized No plates on it. Hubby wanted to change it anyway.
I never went far in it, altho long distance driving never bothered me.
She did go for a further promotion for a new post that had been created but she was not successful as someone had more experience than she had. She loves her current job and thought it wasn't quite the right time to go for a higher grade, but she's gained the experience of an interview and her boss said the timing wasn't quite right also. Ces la vive !

morning ears pricked up chocolate was it good ?rain here again quite depressing .

Good morning or rather good afternoon,am running late today lol
I am off out to our womens group this afternoon.The speaker has been a Christian for many years and comes from Bethany which is a huge church but she is still nervous about sharing with our little group .Just goes to show
you never can tell.She comes over as being super confident.She is talking about chocolate.Wonder what to expect? ......do you think she might bring samples?....(says she hopefully) lol

We had heavy rain overnight , even my hardy fuchsia looks a bit battered.
It hasn't rained for a while as most of the patio looks dry, but there's lots of grey cloud about.
Glad you're OK Paula , I seem to have been one of the lucky one's with the change.. sailed thro it, with only the occasional night when I woke up clammy, but just like a night when the weather is hot and you throw the clothes off the bed ..hubby does it !

morning all glad you are OK Paula ,needles dont bother me at all ,I am so lucky i dont get the flushes quite as bad but i do get them at night .

my bloods were ok.Doc says no need to change my meds.
Did tell her I was fed up with the hot flushes every half hour and she suggested HRT which originally I was told was a no no because I have high blood pressure.She gave me a leaflet with all the info to read and consider the pros and cons.
I'm not phased by needles $andie or by spiders but my dau hates both lol

Hi all~~
I've done my 1/2 hr walk this morning carrying shopping from As*a , so it wasn't quite so brisk, But hope the weight did something for my bingo wings upper arms.lol
My car is in the garage, so I had a lift over with hubby this morning and walked back in 30mins, the bus fare is £ 1.20 or £1.40 because our stop is in between fare stages , different drivers charge for the first stop some for the one beyond mine!! Just got back as it started spotting rain !
Seems dry now altho overcast :(
The roads were manic this morning as 1/2 term is over and all the school buses and parents on the school run were out !

I have to have my bloods done on Wed, doesn't bother me as I have a silver badge for blood donations so used to the needle, dau hates it, she;s such a baby.She's frightened of a money spider, but will pick up a Daddy long legs. Can't take tablets , everything has to be in syrup form !!!!
Hubby kecks using an electric toothbrush or if the dentist is working on his back teeth ( he just a root canal filing )...poor dentist !!.lol.
Son is like me, no probs with with being prodded around :)

Got soaked today.Was supposed to be thunder storms but havent heard anything.Tomorrow we are supposed to have sunny spells while the heavy rain moves southwards.
