Morning folks~~~

Got quite wet yesterday whilst walking, well my coat (waterproof) and my denim skirt did.lol
It's better to wear a skirt in the rain (unless you wear Waterproof trousers) When I had my dog I used to wear waterproof trousers but had to be wiped down in the kitchen along with the dog cos we were dripping when it rained in the winter.lol
legs dry off quicker than trousers !
I like walking in the rain but not when it is lashing down !!
Forecast here is for showers and sunny intervals, the sun when it comes thro the clouds but there is a heck of a lot of dark grey clouds around. :(

Morning all~~

Fine today here so far, I've got bed sheets and towels on the line since 8.30 and another lot in the wash, hope it stays fine.

Had a good nights sleep after 2am, but by 7.30 my hand and elbow were playing up (i'd not kept my arm straight whilst sleeping I suspect ).
All OK when I'm up and about ( except the pins and needle effect in my right hand, ) The Dr asked me if my elbow was sore ,but it wasn't at the time cos apparently that determines if the nerve is trapped at the wrist or elbow !
I'm beginning to sound like an old crock.lol

Have a good day folks,

Very early morning to all~~

Been to bed, but knee and thigh playing up,so have to get up for a walk around and sit rather than lie down.

Dr told me on Monday I have an Entrapped Ulnar nerve in my right wrist or elbow and may need surgery , so referring me to an Orthopaedic Neurologist. My little and fourth fingers and outside of my right hand tingle constantly and the pain wakes me up at night:( but I've read I should sleep with my arm straight, which has helped )
Thursday the optician said i have a small cataract on my right eye, which is not uncommon for peeps over 45 who have a history of it in the family ; my nan had 2 removed many many yrs ago;
So I've been doing a bit of research on the net about both, it's no substitute for discussing it with my GP and Optician, who I will be seeing again next week as I didn't ask many questions when told as I was a bit taken aback cos of my age:) .....I'll be fore armed next week .

I am right handed so I get away without doing the potatoes and beans.lol
Just hope I can see the Neurologist asap and get things sorted, cos it is worse when my hands are cold.

Think I'll try bed again~~~
Bye

*$parkling $andie* Report 21 Aug 2010 11:38

Morning~~

Drizzly here, had to use the tumble drier non stop yesterday for all the towels.

Maz hubby doesn't mind the time and effort, he did my dad's house up and almost trebled the selling price.. until the credit crunch came.
I couldn't help him with that as it was my family home he was 'ripping apart ' and my heart with it, but it really did look fabulous when he had finished, I only wish my dad had let him do it when he was alive :(

We don't qualify for grants I had a well paid job for 30 yrs and hubby ( like my dad was ) is very careful with money and saves/ saved wisely. Hope you hear about yours soon Maz.
I've saved £100s over the yrs as I cut and coloured my own hair for over 35yrs, it now costs me £40 every 6 wks for that !
We aren't rich by any means but the bathroom has been in for 30yrs (still looks OK to me ) and hubby has investments and savings safe now ,so he says it's time to enjoy them.
Things deteriorate with time and our drive has never been done since we moved in over 30 yrs ago, hubby is looking for things that require less maintenance, especially the garden.
Quite a few hedges to be radically cut, son loves 'big jobs' in the garden
so will help with that, he won't do things like weeding !!

Time to do the weekend shop, no veg this week as it's all out of the garden :))

Evening all~~

Hubby's been off work all week and he's planning to change the bathroom completely.
Take out the bath with over shower , replace it with a full shower unit and reposition the other fixtures, so we've been viewing DIY stores and specialist bathroom centres til I'm seeing toilets and showers in my sleep.
We've picked the wall ,floor tiles, vanity unit, bidet. shower unit, so only the taps, mirrored cabinet, curtains and colour of new rugs and towels to go................phew !.. Oh yes and I want new lighting. Probably have to have the ceiling re done then.lol

Next project , which will have to wait until next yr now probably is a new drive and patio ,and extra car space at the front of the house to get dau's car off the rd. Our drive is long enough for at least 4 cars, but all in line, so if the one at the back wants to go out first they all have to be moved.. bit of a pain !!

He's back in work on Monday , so I'll have a bit of peace, lol
Expect I'll probably have to stay in to accept all the deliveries he will have ordered by then !!
