Hi Folks~~~
Quite a nice day again here today. ..so far !

It did throw it down here for about an hour at about 12.30 yesterday
So.. you're saying all your washing got wet whilst you out yesterday Maz..?
Ugh ! ...I just caught mine from getting soaked... a few things were dry, towels went in the tumbler and rest on rads or clothes horse.

Half a dozen shirts out today, they should be OK, cos it's sunny and windy and I'm weather watching , socks and pants I don't peg out if there is a risk of rain...they takes so long to get them back in piece by piece when it does rain:(
What I do is peg them on the clothes horse put them on the patio and if I does rain , I just lift up the clothes horse and bring it inside, in a few seconds.

Handy things.lol

Good evening everyone. Quite a downpour overnight and up until lunch time here.Didn't out for my early morning walk. Did spend three quarters of an hour on the wii to make up for it. Off to slimming world shortly. Looks like everyone has been busy.

Morning ladies~~

Smashing weather here at the mo.

My knee is 'burning up' and for some reason my shoulder has decided to come out in sympathy ...again... and join it.

I suppose it's just one's body out of alignment cos of 'hobbling ' :(

No sympathy req'd thanks :-) I'll just avoid the Neurofen Plus.
Nasty scare ,that.

Have a good weekend

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 Aug 2011 17:57

Hi~~

Got a few loads dry today, tho dau put some out and had to promptly bring them back in.. nasty rain storm.. dry now.
Not a cloud in the sky now, bit of wind ,hoping the towels will dry.
I'm sure I must wash more towels than any one else in our street.. dau only ever uses them once. Is that norm..?

I said that my son went to a music festival in Cheshire... well they went in 2 cars, thankfully, cos my neighbours son came home ,early today.
He was cold, tent was wet, and he didn't take any weather proofs... Dumbo..and his car is covered in mud.
It was a new tent and I asked them if it had been tested and waterproofed
Yes they said..
It was dismissed , saying new tents had proofing !
Well we camped in 1974/5 in a second hand 5 bed tent which we thoroughly waterproofed ,in Jersey and Cornwall in very heavy downpours .. we never got wet in the tent. :)
Son is sticking it out and travelling back with another friend.

*$parkling $andie* Report 30 Aug 2011 14:36

Hi.~~
Feels like winter here :-(
Haven't resorted to the heating ,but have a fleece on.

Son arrived back yesterday from the festival ... face and hands quite tanned.
When it wasn't pouring with rain, it was glorious sunshine. His one friend came back early, he couldn't hack the conditions !!!
Son said he wouldn't have wanted to stay too much longer. He was caked in mud, first think he did was jump in the shower.
I had to scrape mud from his jeans and jacket before they went in the wash. Sleeping bag was hand wash only, which I refused to do. It wasn't too bad just very slightly marked ( I was very suprised ) so was spread on the patio and sponged down twice.. by myself and hubby ( inside was fine )
His wellies were caked in mud inside and out.. hubby saw to those, they are in the shed upside down on poles.
They didn't bother to bring their tents back, they were wrecked..by other peeps;(......................... Oh the joys of youth:) He's home safe, that's all that counts.

Hi~~

Been out most of the morning.
Took neighbours pup for a walk ...as his knee is playing up and his mum can't walk her. She's usually very good for me on the lead.
Where I walk her in a sort of nature park area ,there is children play day today, I wasn't aware until I got there, part of it is wooded. There was craft activities , like wood carving , pottery to name just a few, then the local radio set up ! She didn't like the loud music !
She was very good with the children, she was the centre of attraction lol.
On my way home we met a friends male spaniel who looks very much like her...she went nuts..jumping, nearly dragged me home ,chasing leaves etc etc my shoulder is now aching from restraining her.
Totally different from earlier , she'd got so excited.
Don't know if my knee and shoulder can face the evening walk.lol

Afternoon all~~

Washing all dry.:)

Maz, I like to think I am am a kind person, but you and Paula would do the same,in my situation ,walking their pets, when they weren't able I'm sure,

Pup Maisie had a good walk, she still goes nuts when she gets home.. Prospect of food !!!! races around the living room and then under her 'lair ' the wooden steps to the upper back garden., umpteen times.
She is getting better when out walking, but as soon as she's home she knows their 'rules or lack of ' and that they are a soft touch. They are not firm enough.. they have to cope with her, so it's their choice.
