morning all , just looking at the story for tonite .

Asked the GP to check my blood pressure today,as mum suffered with high,and also so do a lot of my cousins on my mothers side, it was 128/75, which he said was fine, it averaged 120/70 when I was pregnant ( the only written records I have of it) .
It was always checked when I donated blood, which I haven't for a while, and GP had the read out right in front of me on his desk this morning ,so I thought I'd ask for a check :)

Our bathroom looks really good now, but still need blinds, and the leak fixed.... not looking forward to that:(

Grey and miserable here too.
Can't do my usual long walk as my ankle, tho much better causes me to limp and affects my hip then, so it has to be gentle exercise:)

Keep warm.. notice my heating has come back on.. it's on a thermostat, not timed.

Glad things are proceeding Maz, albeit slowly, always the same with paper work.
Can be the same with a tradesman, hope you get a good one.:)

hello again.don't think I have ever looked forward to spring as much as I am this year.
A friend has just been to Benidorm for a week and had to buy a hat, cardigan and a vest because it was so cold

Paula , Sorry for your friend ,the one and only time we went to Benidorm was yrs ago, dau is 24 and it was before then.. it was in March and whilst it was mild the rain was horrendous.
They say Benidorm has changed, but whatever , too commercialised for us and won't go there again.

Minus 6 this morning at 9 am, yes a heavy frost here too.

Whilst the old bones creak , I'm used to the cold..don't like it tho,
Went out at 8am in dressing coat to put out my recycling, except for my iffy right hand didn't 'feel cold'.

It was foggy and soggy earlier, ..still soggy but fog seems to have lifted and the sun is shining, sky still grey tho.

Had Mammogram result this morning..all OK :)
It is every 3 yrs they offer the scan in Wales, when over 50 until aged 70.

Must be of similar age Maz give or take a few yrs.
I feel for you re flushes, I didn't have any and 'sailed thro'... tho hubby's aunt who is only 62( no I didn't marry a toyboy, he is older than me.. his nan was late having his aunt and his mother was 21 when she had hubby) is still getting them ,was told she may get them until she is 65 .. she had a hysterectomy in her 40's, her current Dr says it's because she was prescribed the wrong medication
following that op, he's now changed her meds and she is feeling a bit better.
Oddly whilst typing this, she just phoned me as she is going for her scan today

I still get hot flushes every 20-40 mins through day and night.EEEEH, THE THINGS WE WOMEN HAVE TO PUT UP WITH.
Just saw Liz's post about poor Ash now having meningitis. Poor lad, as if he hasn't been through enough.

Yes ,I saw that Liz had posted on |zzy's thread.

I count my blessings I have nothing nearing that to contend with .
