Hi Ladies~~~

Maz,~~ we haven't bought the shower unit yet, have been buying it all slowly to spread the cost.
Got the tiles on a good offer and hubby's half finished it, but cos it's all being turned around..shower where the toilet is now and toilet / vanity unit where the bath is now,he can't finish off until the plumber takes out the bath and re routes the pipes!
Up to 2 weeks without a shower ,we'll all go mental ! but will manage.
Oh yes probably the light will have to be resited, so the ceiling will have to be redone !....It goes on and on........

Best of luck with yours :))

Paula~~
Hope the children haven't worn you out after the half term :)
I wish we had relatives locally like your friend, I'd kindly vacate the house and give the plumber the keys !.lol
My children have very close friends who live very nearby so they maybe going there for a shower, hubby and I will not be imposing on friends and neighbours, we were brought up with tin baths in front of the open fireplace. We will manage lol. Dau was gob-smacked and horrified !!

Morning Ladies~~

Extremely wet and windy here, we'll probably have higher winds to come yet:(

My 2 plastic reclining patio chairs were flung around the patio in the early hours, not sure of the damage yet, probably scratched in all the wrong places. The other 4 are matching but have metal frames so were safely in the shed. The smaller stacking type chairs didn't move, but I went out to weigh those down and put the recliners in a corner with a heavy ceramic pot against them so they wouldn't be further damaged.

I been for a walk in the rain this morning and my fav walking shoes have sprung a leak :(... It's a bin job I'm afraid:(
Have to get my 2nd favs out and re-proofed !

Hope you have got sorted over the phone bill $andie. It is ridiculous that they can't see the error they have made.
It was quite windy here too.xx

Lol Paula ~~

It's sometimes better to go out on a skirt and sandals if it's wet but not too cold, easier to dry your legs and feet than have to wash the socks and trousers :)

Have to wait a week on my phone bill :(
If I don't get the credit back I will be taking it further

Maz ~~
Do you have a start date for your bathroom ?
Ours is the 13th.. but I'm not superstitious.lol

Morning ladies~~~

Gosh a real early bird this morning Maz :)
My body clock clicks in at around 6.30, but I don't get up til the 'workers' have gone, but if I'm going out it's a 7.30 start to the day.

Hubby does my head in sometimes, the bathroom is only half tiled and he's now thinking on replacing the kitchen doors, and knocking down the front wall to get dau's car off the road, and make an extra drive, ours will take up to4 car's easily, but it's the switching around if someone at the back wants to go out first.( It's long but will only take cars behind one another)
Logical I suppose, but dau can't reverse onto the drive we already have, and I don't mind switching the cars around !

Drizzly old day today but not as bad as yesterday,Thankfully :)

Fireworks still going off here too!
It's horrible for the animals, bless them.

Trixie one of mine used to hide under the bed..before divans.lol
Sandy, our rescue dog didn't bat an eyelid , but would run a mile at the sound of foil paper being wrapped !

Hope Cara is better soon , I used to suffer with dreadful earache as a child, then tonsillitis in my teens and twentys but it's now back to earache, not as bad as when I was little , but always put in cotton wool on a windy day.

I'll sleep like a log ,hope you all do too ,especially little Cara:)

*$parkling $andie* Report 10 Nov 2010 12:49

Good afternoon ladies~~~~

Beautiful blue clear sky here, sun out ..but yes nippy too.

Have shirts and tops out since early, it was quite windy then,so hope the've dried .. have some towels and tea towels to go out now..but the wind has dropped, they'll probably end up in the tumbler at 5 when we loose the sun.

Oh Maz ,I thought your current job was full time ..but I suppose not 38 /40 hrs.
Well good luck with your relief job and future job hunting, relief work can often turn into full time :)
Dau started 25 hrs with Social Services after leaving Uni ,on a very low grade, bit awkward travel wise as she had to have my car, very soon moved to 38hrs (but still under contract of 25 ) now she is on contract for 38 / 40 hrs and has had promotion twice. Just need to get your foot in the door so to speak:)
Son still can't get a job in IT , not for want of trying but still is a seasonal worker with As*a... at least he's working :)
