goodness Tess you are not having a lot of luck then are you. Hope the cable will be back by the weekend. Do you know what is wrong with it?

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 2 Dec 2009 18:50

Oh no .. I have got Cable tv and it isn't working. Just turned it on for ITT and Zilch! I've got withdrawal symptoms already.
Hopefully it is just a little glitch in the system that will soon be sorted.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me for Saturday evening.

P.S My gas central heating doesn't like the cold so it won't work.

I enjoyed the show, it got for to a wonderful start with Chris and Ola dancing the Charleston.
Very high energy and joyful, just whatI needed to brighten my day.

Notable that it was the two couples dancing the rock and roll who were (deservidly) in the dance off. They just didn't have the same sparkle as the Charlestons.

Much as I like Natalie and Vincent, I am in agreement that their time had come. Natalie has done well and should be pleased with herself. I will be picturing her hiding behind the seatee next week!
I hope that by Monday she has got over her disappointment, it is good to see her smiling and enthusiastic.

Charleston anyone?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Nov 2009 12:44

I think what they wanted to say was as they are the same height, Vincent is much slighter (lighter) than Natalie and therefore lifts are difficult. But I agree the Charlestons were better than the rock and roll and good to see some humour in it.

I really enjoyed the Charleston dance routines, very clever! Thought them much better than the rock'nroll dancers, who didn't keep to the beat and were very disappointing imo

I thought decision was right for Natalie & Vincent, but they will be missed (poor Vincent looked really defated didn't he?) poor comment about their height! Chris and Ola are smaller and they did well!

Still keeping to my favourites Ali & Brian :O)

AnninGlos Report 28 Nov 2009 21:15

I loved Ali's dance, felt sorry for Vincent and Natalie as she is right they are the same height which makes it difficult for him. I thought Laila would have been in the dance off but Natalie going out was not a surprise.

Just watched THE BRUCE FORSYTH SHOW--I thought it was supposed to be Strictly come Dancing

Margaret

Margaret Report 28 Nov 2009 20:36

Watched as usual tonight and quite enjoyed seeing the two different dances. I thought they all did well consiering the pros had to learn the routine as well so were no more confident than the celebrities. I did fear for Chris tonight although I thought he dance well. However, I did think it would be Natalie&Vincent/Laila and Anton in the dance-off. Having said that even I - a complete novice - noticed that Ricky Whittle went wrong and also that his timing was out on occasion during his 'new' dance. I imagine now that the end result will be - winner Ali or Ricky W, 3rd Laila and Anton (the judges seem to like her a lot) and 4th Chris. The singers weren't my cup of tea so I nipped and make coffee while they were on although I enjoyed the River Dance routine. Did you all enjoy it tonight .... or not ?

What is happening to the Celebs?

Ricky Whittle should know better. I hope that the journalist is not too badly injured. Although I do think that some of the Journos. sometimes overstep the mark, hitting one with a car is over-reacting.

We must remember though, that in this country people are innocent till proved guilty. I hope that Ricky is given a fair hearing and not cruxified by the press.

I wonder if any of the other dancers will be bought back, if Ricky is unable to continue.

Will watch Take Two tonight with even more interest than usual.

Apparently he is still in custody, stupid man, throwing it all away.

Helen in Bucks Report 27 Nov 2009 13:35

Ricky Whittle has apparently been arrested in Liverpool for "assault" - it is alleged that he hit a journalist with his car ... so don't know if he will make the live show either.

Think the Beeb should reinstate Tuffers and Ricky G as at this rate there will be no one in the final!

Don't know if it is the same foot, but it sounds really painful. I'm sure that wearing high heels must make it feel even worse.

I too hope that she is able to get a bye this week.

It seems that they are all to dance two dances on Saturday, so even more pressure on the time to train and the amount of activity required.

I feel so sorry for Ali and Brian. They are so beautiful to watch,
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for them,

Yes Mau I did see ITT tonight. It would be a shame if Ali can't compete this week. let's hope that it's not too serious.
It's good to see them doing different dances, Have any of you been watching the US version, Dancing with the Stars? Can't wait to see the final this Friday, I do know who won, but it will be interesting to see the show.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 25 Nov 2009 19:58

Is that the same foot that had the bad ankle? Maybe she should not have been dancing on it, sounds as if it is weakened. Not having a good year this lot are they. Hope Ali can get her foot better for Saturday.

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 25 Nov 2009 19:29

Anyone watch ITT tonight? sad,bad news again!

On Monday Ali fell damaging her right foot badly while practising the Charleston.
When interviewed Brian looked really miserable and said Ali hadn't been able to walk for three days!! It would be a major disappointment for them (and their many fans) if she couldn't compete. Let's keep fingers crossed that she's given a bye this week and is okay for next.

P.S.

Maybe on Saturday Chris should wear a Craig Revil-Hallwood mask.

Just might be easier than trying to sort out his facial expressions.

I tried posting on Sunday but then clicked on the wrong thing and sent my message out to the ether!

I was very disappointed that Jade was not ablr to continue in the competition. She was improving each week, was able to oerform (act) the dances as weel as dance them. She was a real contender.

Some of the fizz seems to have gone out of the program too. Perhaps it was not a good idea to have held it in Blackpool so early.
It was almost bound to have been a bit of an anti-climax following such a spectacular venue.

This week, besides Jade not taking part, Natalie had an "off" week, she is usually one of the people who brings a smile to my face.

Hopefully she will enjoy her dance on Saturday.
Although I will miss Ricky G I do think that it was time for him to go he should be very proud of what her has achieved.

I am now hoping that I will get to see Jade doing the lon jump next year (live if she comes to Birmingham).

Also hope that she is able to dance her Tango in the final

Hoping that it is more uplifting next Saturday, I shall be watching as usual

Hi folks,
Sorry I've not posted for a while, starting to get abit busy with extra hours at work and a family problem as well.
Was very torn last week when Phil and Ricky were in the dance off, makes me wonder how Phil would of coped this week. Felt sorry that Jade had injuried her leg and was hoping that she would be ok this week. I felt that she had a good chance to be in the final 3.

I too felt that this weeks show was abit of a let down, although I must admit I did like Ricky Whittle's performance, This was the first one of his that I did like.

I just wish that Chris would sort his facial expressions out, I think they spoil his routines and they would probably score him higher.

Not looking forward to the final now as it will be a 2 couple race for the trophy and I think we all know who that is going to be.

Mauatthecoast

Mauatthecoast Report 23 Nov 2009 19:22

What a pity Jade has had to drop out,she was beautiful to watch, just hope her injury doesn't hamper her career.
Seeing ITT tonight of her and Ian's dances through the weeks, showed how she had really progressed.
I loved Jade's comment about herself..." I was a girl and now feel like a woman"..aww..hope we do get to see their last dance (in the final).

I also thought it was Ricky's turn to go,but must say he has been entertaining!

Looking forward to the Jive/Rock'nRoll next week....absolutely loved Darren & Lilia's show dance :O))

AnninGlos Report 23 Nov 2009 09:21

I am sure I saw Helen on another thread yesterday, maybe she has lost interest in the contest. Yes a 2 couple finish is not as exciting but almost inevitable that somebody will be injured as they do so much more than they are used to.
