When you come back Theresa Just go to your normal search engine and put in BBCiplayer. You will then get all the programmes and will be able to watch it. Have a lovely time with your family.

Thanks Ladies for your suggestions. Will try all options! Failing that, have had a word with sister ... her daughter will record it for us (sis and I) then I can watch it at my sisters house. We can have a Christams/New Year/Strictly get together.

We were planning a "Secret Santa Party" anyway, so another reason to celebrate.

Will look for BBC iPlayer on my search engine. (Thanks Ann) good way to watch it, but my sound on my computer has toddled off to the land of missing socks!

Bye for now, Enjoy Saturday everyone and have a great Christmas.

If I have read it correctly on the 'strictly forums' it would appear that Jade will appear tonight to do the dance with Ian that she was prevente from doing because of her injury. I expect her to get a great standing ovation from the spectators. Not sure that I am looking forward to tonight's programme - mixed feelings really - I woul really like my favourites Chris and Ola to win, but at the same time I think Ricky and Natalie should win as they are better ancers ! I did notioce that on tv this week, poor Chris said he felt guilty being in the final at the expense of Ali. I thought that was a very sportsmanship remark to make. He said also that Ricky was a better dancer and that although he would dearly love to win FOR OLA, he personally was just going to do his best to entertain the public and give them some enjoyment for supporting him all this way.

What do you think of it so far? I think Ricky still has the edge but chris was surprisingly good tonight.

Great dances tonight and although Ricky was probably the best all round dancer Chris was very entertaining and a worthy winner. And Ricky was very gracious in defeat.

WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW TONIGHT.

Both couples danced their socks off. I couldn't see any mistakes from either of them, Was so glad that the judges agreed that Chris and Ola's Charleston was worthy of maximums. For me that was the dance of the series.

I'm so chuffed that Chris and Ola won. If you look at one of my early posts you will see that I had put Chris and Ola as one of my faves and despite a couple of setbacks during the series, they were the couple who showed the best improvement over the whole of the series.
I shall be up at 6am on Monday morning to watch Breakfast News to see how Bill and Sian greet Chris.

Well girls that's it for another year, It has been a brilliant series and I would like to thank you all for contributing to the thread during the course of the series and as Brucie always says....................................

KEEP DANCING.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL AND A HAPPY AND PEACEFUL NEW YEAR.

Absolutely thrilled but amazed that Chris and Ola pulled it off. I didn't think he had a chance against Ricky but must say that he pulled out all the stops last night and surpassed himself. Ricky also danced exceedingly well, but I do think that Ricky and Natalie's lack of 'personality' went against them. They didn't seem to bring the same amount of fun and joy into their routines. However, very well done to both couples who have worked really hard over the past four months to get to the final and dance for us. Having been a Chris supporter from day one, I only wish now that I had had a bet on Team Cola at the very beginning when they were something like 33/1. Hope everyone enjoyed the final.

think it was absolute genius from Ola to choose a song from "Dirty Dancing" for the show dance, to choose a song that told a story and to dress Chris up similar to Patrick Swayze in the film, much more of a crowd pleaser than Ricky's show dance, where on earth did Chris get the strength to do those lifts?

If only I had had a bet on Chris and Ola, I should have realised when they were never in a dance off, that the public were rooting for them.

Think Ola did a marvellous job teaching someone who had never danced ,

I really enjoyed the Series, and as for some saying it was too long in the first weeks. I can only say what entertainment, without having to go out of the house, and spending your money.

Well done everyone who participated.

AnninGlos Report 21 Dec 2009 13:34

Yes, we also said it was good entertainment, better than a lot of the rubbish they throw at us.

I managed to catch the second part of Strictly on Saturday. (with two young grandsons running around).

Really enjoyed it and was pleased that Chris and Ola won. Although I had voted for them earlier in the Competition, I didn't vote in the Semi or the Final. Just felt that my vote would count against the ones I hadn't voted for.

I was thrilled with all the dancing I saw, what an amazing achievment by both couples.
I'm hoping that my niece was able to record both halves of the prog. for my sis.. and I, really looking forward to seeing it all, esp. the Lindy Hop where they are dancing at the same time.

Chris had seemed very nervous and unsure of himself, earlier in the week. So I was keeping my fingers crossed thet he was able to give a creditable performance, and in the end he out did himself.
Will try to use him as a role model when I am finding it difficult to do (new) things.
e.g. If Chris can learn to dance that well, I CAN learn to use a dish washer!
