Just wondering whether anyone has an ancestor who studied or taught at St. Mark's College, Chelsea or St. John's College, Battersea (the latter at times being known as The Battersea Training College.
I am currently acting as the archivist at St. Mark's and St. John's (the two combined in 1923) now based in Plymouth.
We are always delighted to hear tales of old staff or students and of course can help with searches of our own records. IF YOU NEED OUR HELP IT IS FREE OF CHARGE - THE SEARCH, THE PHOTOCOPIES/SCANS - ALL FREE
We do not just hold information about our past students' college years. In most cases information can be found on them beyond their study years and the archive may be of particular use to anyone interested in their ancestor's military service.
The archives photographic material goes back to the 1850s.
