Someone just asked how my cousin is so thought l would update you:o))

He's back to being a pain in the a--e......lol
He's a miracle really. All he has attached to him now is his food line, which is in the arm and for some reason goes to the heart and preseumably the stomach!! l spoke to the hospital this morning and the nurse l was seaking to had taken him for a walk around the hospital and out side for the first time. l warned her that once the line is out he may very well try and get a taxi and get home, he has done this before. He should be there for another 2 weeks and is desperate to know whats going on at home. His son has been in a bad way....drugs, drink, fights etc, but he is also suffering with all this because of his mum.
l had a abit of a laugh with the nurse, she said what a lovely man he is and he is but very crafty!!! so at least they are forwarned!!!
He will have to learn to eat again, he's only had a drip feed for 2 months and the last thing they want is for him to eat the wrong things and end up back in hospital. He's had some nasty arguements with the staff, which were really uncalled for, we try to tell him that the staff he's had fr the last 2 months have saved his life.....its the surgeon who did the hernia op that needs a blasting at!! but he's been through so much his mind is all over the place.
When he's out l'm going to Sx for a week, just hope the son has gone by then, that may sound unkind but he's been quite threatening to people, l don't mind facing him and trying to help but l don't really want to stay in the same house. If he is still there l'll stay next door:o)).....blimey what a saga!!

Jude, you will handle the situation I'm sure. They threaten those they think they can cow, but you have more about you than that with your experience. If you can handle his dad, the son should be no problem!

I only recently took him off the thoughts thread as it was getting too big and some new poorly folks needed to be added.

Hope he is able to get home soon , but that he does listen to advice given to him.

Just to let you know cousin came home yesterday afternoon. Using walking stick, certain things he can't eat, can't left etc but amazingly alive!!!!!

Not sure when l am going to stay with him, he has alot to sort out with his family!!

Spoke to cousin earlier, he's gradually sorting things out. l am going down on 30th Sept to 5th Oct.
He has people coming in to see him and some are bringing cooked meals, his cleaner turned up whilst on the phone,she walked out a few weeks ago because of the staight of the house!! (son) He's had to have a cleaner since major operation he had just over a yr ago!!!
Now he's home its really hitting home how ill he was, people are telling him things he did'nt know, which have shocked him!!

The surgeons/doctors called him the "Miracle man".

So pleased to see that your cousin is home from hospital. I hope he will continue to improve and feel better each day.
Also, hope his cleaner will stay, as he will need her and won't be able to do things himself.

Hiya....just to update you on my cousin....he's driving to Torquay on Fri then to me in Monmouth on Sunday for a couple of days. He's been to Northants, Crawley....he's been everywhere man, he's been everywhere:o)))
The doctors are calling him a miracle:o))

What great news, that your cousin is well enough to travel round and see people. You must be so pleased for him, ask him if can bottle whatever it is that keeps him going and let some of us have it lol
Ask him to look out for my get up and go while he is jaunting around the country, mine disappeared a long time ago!
