McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 23 Jul 2009 13:52

Ah jesus Hayley was that YOU at BC's ??????????

I thought it was a stray Notherner that BC had picked up whilst walking her doggie lol >>>>>> runs

Yes I have to extend thanks to BC for being the perfect hostess and making us so welcome in her lovely home. Great company, lovely surroundings, divine food and a real hoot!

And an added bonus for me anywhere is always the presence of a furry friend - BC's doggie is so sweet and well behaved.

Thanks too to Hayley and TW - you know what for :O) xxxx

Once a year Teresa BC and I, try our best to meet up for the day, we would like it to be more often (I would like it to be very often) however with our very very busy real lives and other commitments this isn’t always possible. Yesterday we managed it. We also managed to meet 2 other friends for the first time as well. I plan my route train times to military precision even have a plan B for back up. So as I busily sat people watching on the 8.40am I got 2 texts panics about cancelled trains and burst water mains, missed trains. These throw out meeting time into ciaos.

Having arrived at Euston station on time, I got a bit worried myself, I insist BC meets me off the train if she doesn’t I will faint. However I told her that I normally get off at platform 29 and got a bit shaky when it said platform 5. “ Jayous tonoight I am going to get lost, mugged or abducted. Thrust in to a life of slavery never to be seen or heard off again, how would my family cope, what about me farm?” but panic over as I spotted the welcome sight of a tartan shopping trolley. After the customary huggy welcomes and “darlink you look wonderful” we set off to the pub in Euston for the first meeting unbeknown to us we were being closely followed. ** All GASP **.

As you now huggle nearer to the screen about to read that one of my stalkers has got wind of this little meet, you are now imagining a Norman Bates look a like wearing a skirt closely following a me and BC ready to plant a craving knife in my scull. Fear not it wasn’t, it was Rocking Granny MO following my booming northern tones through Euston “ aaare ya all raight luv” watching BC and I heading for the pub and thinking that must be Hayley. So it was.

Off we go to BC’s place. Quick cup of coffee before BC rushes off again to meet Anita, more hugs and lovely to meet you. Before BC and I rush off to meet a very glamorous TW. Finally we are where we should be. BC being the wonderful hostess she then set about preparing lunch, to be assisted by her very unglamorous helper Mrs Marigolds, as BC busied herself bossing and belting out orders to the poor Mrs Marigolds, whilst her guests sat on the patio demanding cups of tea wine and other beverages, poor Mr Marigolds was up and down like a brides nighty, “ would ya be loiking anud’der cap af t’eeh” . After a wonderful lunch, super afternoon tea, again served by the poor suffering Mrs Marigolds, much gossiping and laughter (I wont include that) off it was again to see off everyone on their way. Nearly a panic over TW missing her train but no she safely made it. BC saw me to on my train to my FIRST CLASS seat, where I again busily people watched but was waited on hand and foot on my journey home. I was exhausted. I am sure BC was god knows where that woman gets her energy. Thank you to Anita MO and TW and Mrs Marigolds for a lovely day but mega big thanks to BC for working so hard making us all so welcome.
