OH has just spoken to DiL on the phone. Apparently the bleed on the brain was so severe that they are not planning any further treatment, he is to just have palliative care until he passes away, they have lifted the amount of sedative, not sure if he will remain on the ventilator, I would guess not. So please send your thoughts that he will have a peaceful and quick passing. (DiL says he is sooo stubborn that he will probably hang on for ages!!!! DiL is going home tomorrow as her Mum has her friend and her sister staying. She will go back up when the end comes as her Mum will need her more then.

thank you for your continuing support. And for caring.

Poor chap to have to go through so much and how hard for your d.i.l. to have to try and juggle supporting her parents, with a young family too. I do hope things improve and will be thinking lots of positive thoughts for them all.

well, he'll be more comfy with the trachy... and how wonderful of the friends to stay with her mum while DiL pops home for your G'daughters birthday,

Like you said, there are some positive signs.. positive thoughts still with him, and everyone who loves him.

Love

OH has just been talking to DiL on the phone. Her Dad is still heavily sedated, every time they try to reduce the sedation he reacts against it. They have done a tracheotomy so that he doesn't have to wear a mask all the time and seems to be a bit better for that. He is still on a ventilator but his brain is triggering the ventilator, the bleed was in the back of the brain. the neurosurgeon wont consider operating for 14 - 21 days. according to medical staff there are some positive signs but a lot of negative ones. DiL says that friends are now rallying round and one has offered to stay with her Mum to allow her to get home to see the children and for little one's 7th birthday, then she will go back up again.
