stay positive thats all you can do. I am sending tons of kind wishes and thoughts and say that my stroke that I had in April was a bleed and I am doing well and I would say to those sceptics who think its wrong to ask for sympathy discuss things like this on chat I have really appreciated support from some people on here. It is very isolating having a stroke and finding out that I could type with one hand was the best medicine in the world. I cant do a lot just yet but to join in and chat with people is a tonic. Positive thoughts get you through. I hope your dad comes round soon. love him and be there

OH has just been talking to DiL on the phone. Her Dad is still heavily sedated, every time they try to reduce the sedation he reacts against it. They have done a tracheotomy so that he doesn't have to wear a mask all the time and seems to be a bit better for that. He is still on a ventilator but his brain is triggering the ventilator, the bleed was in the back of the brain. the neurosurgeon wont consider operating for 14 - 21 days. according to medical staff there are some positive signs but a lot of negative ones. DiL says that friends are now rallying round and one has offered to stay with her Mum to allow her to get home to see the children and for little one's 7th birthday, then she will go back up again.

well, he'll be more comfy with the trachy... and how wonderful of the friends to stay with her mum while DiL pops home for your G'daughters birthday,

Like you said, there are some positive signs.. positive thoughts still with him, and everyone who loves him.

Poor chap to have to go through so much and how hard for your d.i.l. to have to try and juggle supporting her parents, with a young family too. I do hope things improve and will be thinking lots of positive thoughts for them all.
